    [Solved] Emag Battery replacement

Ok, I have been digging through some of the old threads looking to build a new emag battery. Looks like 12 1000NIMH batteries in series seems to be a solution.
This was the consensus in the old threads (2006). I'm looking to see what folks have done recently?
Any pictures of your build would be highly appreciated.

Batteries Plus will build a 650 mAh for $40 or 1000 mAh for $60 if there is one in your area. Unless you were looking for a project to do on your own.

Its 14 batteries, at 1000mAh rating that give you the 16.8v nominal voltage. It is still the way to go unless you want to design and build a new battery case as well. The batteries are about $1.00 each, so if you know someone who builds battery packs, you might be able to get it done cheaper. If you know how to solder and have a temperature controlled solder iron, you can do it yourself. Just make sure you order the batteries without the button ends. The button ends will work, but the pack will be too long if you don't solder everything perfectly.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Where do you get the batteries if you don't mind. All I can find are button top ended ones?

Here is a link for 700mAh flat top cells: Tenergy 700mAh flat top cells They aren't the ones I found before, but they are cheap.

Not many packs use fuses, but you can add one if you want for extra safety.

Ok, i have some cells on the way. I say that someone mentioned to put in a fuse.
I opened the agd pack and say what looked like a fuse, so I'm going to use that one, or is there a place to get a new one?
              Thank for you help

You can use an automotive fuse holder and fuse. They are fairly small and easy to get.
