    [Solved] Pump mag question

I finally got all the pieces together and put my pump mag together and am having a slight issue.

I'm using a classic valve with level 7 bolt and a RT on/off and I'm pretty sure it has the 220 PT spacer.

If I put the valve in with the blue bumper on it shoots perfect, no leaks, good velocity. Today I pull the valve out and put on the bumper and wave spring and when I air it up it is fine, no leaks. When I pump it to reset the bolt it leaks down the barrel, a pretty good leak too. If I pull the trigger it shoots, sounds weak not as loud as if I dry fired with the blue bumper. The bolt stays forward as it should and again doesn't leak until I pump it to reset the bolt.

Any suggestions as to a possible issue or fix. Should I try a bigger or smaller sizer, I have 215 and 225.

I had a really smaller problem last week, and I solved it by sanding down the spacer just a little bit with some 150 grit. It seems like the pump kits need to have the ptube print a little deeper in the ptube.

I'm still using the original power tube spring in my Pump Mag and have not had any problems with velocity or leaking.

I'll play around with it tomorrow if I get a chance. I do have a PT spring so I can try that as well.

Did you trim your bolt spring? I think that was part of my issue that necessitated a shorter spacer.

No trimming. Just used a really worn bolt spring. I think it may be the original that came with the gun in 94.

The 215 worked perfectly and it is running great.
