    [Solved] Ramrod barrel

Does anyone have info on these barrels? What was the head behind them?

They're sweet looking, but are loud and shoot like crap. Cocker threaded ones typically sell for $100+

They are a barrel that used rods to hold the ball in a straight line once it left the control bore. Since the control bore was short and there was no side walls past the control bore, all acceleration stopped at that distance, so efficiency was horrible. The theory of operation was that there were no side walls for the ball to roll on, only guides to help keep the ball straight.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

Loudest barrel I've ever owned. So loud that it was actually harder to tell where I was shooting from. Constant barrel breaks.

I remember them advertising the fact that if you had a ball break you didn't have to squeegee your barrel. lol

Don't forget the tree branches in the barrel problem. I have one.
