that gun sounds goofed up man. you should not have a leaking anything, and you certainly should not have to alter the stock on/off pin (nevermind the on/off top) to get it to work correctly.

Well, AGD has dropped off the face of the earth with regards to returning the gun. If anyone has a way to contact them, I'm all ears. Phone and email do not gain any response.
I certainly will not ever deal with them again.Last edited by matchstickman; 02-27-2016, 12:43 PM.Comment

Hopefully he has a quick recovery!
The gun is fixed. After machining the face of the ULT top, I replaced the on/off pin o-ring. The gun is working without leaks.
I have learned A LOT about automags these past few weeks.Comment

Shouldn't have had to do anything like that to a new marker though. Just odd. Glad it's now fixed though.Comment

Cyco-Dude
huh, i wonder what the dimension of your ult top is now? one of my tops measured .452", while another measured .450".Comment

I can measure it tonight. I took measurements as I machined it, but I don't remember. The overall length wasn't my target change, just the depth of that little o-ring pocket (both changed, of course). Now the o-ring just barely sticks over the top of the hole when installed, whereas before it was a few thousandths below the top surface of the ULT. With the availability of shims the overall length of the top shouldn't matter; I suspect that differences of up to 0.100" can be overcome by shimming.
EDIT: Top is 0.449".Last edited by matchstickman; 02-29-2016, 07:53 PM.Comment
