Pull the brass piece out of the back with needle nose pliers. Hit it thread side on a piece of wood everything should fall out. Front knob is loctited on the brass screw. Heat up the knob and it should smoke breaking the loctite. Then grab ahold of it with something and turn the Screw in the asa with an Allen key.

Someone sent me one of these to use on a project, and I'm really surprised how hard it is to turn. Is that normal? The rail-mounted CP ASAs are so easy to turn. This one feels stuck. Not sure if that's normal or if I should take it apart to try and fix it.Comment

More than likely there is some gunk in the threads. If it has been taken apart, it could also be put together poorly, the nut and/or screw be misalignedComment

Just got everything back from Bearded Works. Everything came out looking great. I probably would have create some idiot marks somewhere on the thing.
I just wanted to add this picture incase anyone else needs it... Follow captian pinky steps above
P.S The orange this is for a super secret project i'm working on. There are a few other ones floating around. Not sure if anyone has completed one or not.Comment
