i would rather have my black dragun any day over a tippmann. with tippmanns the first thing you have to do is buy a new barrel. the stock one is horrible. the response trigger is ok but you have to tune it just right. and its too much work to take it apart.
Prove to me how your mags are better than my M98 custom

ok i have had a m98 and i now currently have an rt mag and i can say DO NOT BUY A M98 IT SUCKS!!!! ok now the front bolt and the power tube and the triger are made of plastic on the m98, you also need a hack saw to put a double trigger on it too.. the gun runs horribly on co2 and it alway freezes up unless you get an exp. chamber.. i hate tippmanns they are big, ugly, heavy, and they jam alot and bolt stick is common too.. do not get any tippman especialy the A-5 don't get me started on that one. BUY A MAG THEY ARE THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-=MARKER SETUP=-

My cent
I have owned both types of guns (among others). Let's see which of the two brands I have owned over the years:
Tippmann SL-68 Pump
Tippmann SL-68 II Pump (still own)
Tippmann Pro/Carbine Semi
Tippmann Model 98 Semi
Tippmann Model 98 Custom Semi (still own)
Tippmann A5 Semi (still own)
Automag RT PRO Semi (still own)
I imagine you can guess that I used to be a huge woods player...lol.
Both manufacturers are good. Service is good on both sides, however nothing tops Tippmann service. I just have to emphasize this. I still get warranty service on my SL-68 II, all parts are replaced free aside from $5 for shipping. Try this: call Tippmann up, and ask to speak to Mr. Tippmann. Guess what, more times than not you'll get to talk with one of the Tippmanns. That is pretty darn impressive. This is the advantage Tippmann has over Airgun Designs.
Now, the M98 is a great gun. It can take a beating, and is NOT made of plastic. Whoever said it was is incorrect. Maybe they are thinking of a BE gun, not a Tippmann.
However, Mags are great too! As many have stated, shoot both and then make your decision. Basing major purchasing decisions on opinions of online forums is not a good practice, since anyone can get online and post an ignorant opinion. Besides, if you don't agree with any of us - you have only yourself to blame if you based your choice on our words. So, you choose - as long as you are happy, who cares?Comment

tippmanns just plain suck and dont give me any of that reliability crap because my 98 would break all of the time and half of the internals are plastic, and they take 4ever to take apart and put back together.-=MARKER SETUP=-
