    Bolt spring

How often should you replace the bolt spring? Would I be right in thinking that an old spring would cause a drop in ROF and eventually short stroking?

My girlfriend rides a moped. How cool is that??!!

take the bolt and spring out of the gun, and look at the spring as it sits on the bolt. If the end of the spring extends past the nose of the bolt, it's OK. If it's compressed to the point that it doesn't extend past the nose of the bolt, replace it.

      i agree,

however, I'm sure a fresh spring every day will lead to the best results and less breakage since the ball has more time to drop in due to a stiffer spring

as long as the spring is protruding past the end of the bolt you should be fine.

I think you'll go broke buying a new spring everyday max-mag

Springs will last for 10's of thousands of shots. Replacing the spring after every day at the field is an enormous waste of money on springs and completely pointless. There will be no wear on the spring even after 10 cases or so.
