Intelliframe wiring question

I just ordered my "intelliframe" from AGD and I have questions about wiring it to a Warp feed. I researched threads in this forum and am still confused on the matter. When AGD states that the intelliframe comes with the "mounts" do they mean the metal supports inside the grip or do they mean they include the "SDPT Switch with 3/4" roller lever" and "Two conductor 3/32" phone jack"?
If the "Intelliframe" dosn't come with the connectors where on the net can I find the "Two conductor 3/32" (2.5mm) phone jack N.C.circuit with 5/32" mounting hole"?
I live in Alaska and our RadioShack is limited in products. I looked on the RadioShack website and the "Two conductor 3/32" (2.5mm) phone jack N.C.circuit with 5/32" mounting hole" is not the same. Product # 274-247 is completley different in appearance. Please help.

No, these things don't come with the frame, they mean it comes with the mounting plate. Any radio shack should have those parts, I haven't come across one that doesn't yet. Have you checked it out?

I'm not really sure about what plug you want. That switch on radio shack though, does look like it should work, atleast it should allow the head phone jack to plug in right, I have never seen an intelliframe, so i don't know exactly what it would take. Why are you saying that the part is wrong, where did you see a pic of what it is supposed to look like?
Is it all good on the male phone plug, or are you having trouble with those too?

I actually didn't bother making what Dubster has in his pic, although it is a good idea. I run straight from the switch to the rev. I can just tuck the whole wire inside my grip frame when I don't want to use it.

I will double check with Radio shack today, Thanks for getting back to me. The phone jack is where the concerns are. Radio shack must make a new one than what is pictured in the diagram.

Follow-up question

I would like to see a picture of someone's Intelliframe with the hole cut (or burned) through the grip for the connection of the male phono plug. I can't seem to envision doing a very professional-looking job of this and don't want to embark on the destruction of my grip before I see someone who has done it successfully.

I went to radio Shack and by god they had all the parts. Now I need to wait for the frame. I am also interested in the hole in the grip. Can a picture be e-mailed to me or get posted. Thanks for all the help. I will post Pics of the final product when done.

I have been unable to make AOL Instant Messenger work. A post of a picture would be very valuable as well as a description of your method of completing the project.

I would be very interested in getting a male-to-male connection from the Intelliframe to my Revolution with a 90-degree bend in the actual plug; it seems that it would be less likely to be dislodged.

Anyone else have any ideas?

I assume that someone has a picture of the grip with a hole in it...there are pictures of every other phase of this project.

hey ill take pics tonite, as for the 90* plug not one radio shack sells them becaues 3/32 is an uncommon size. just make the cord longer like i did on my new one.

I was also unable to find a 90 degree male 3/32" phono plug, but thought someone may have. I'm very interested in seeing the pictures from your grip and hearing about how you did it.

Before you cut the "V" notch in the rubber grip, did you attempt to drill a hole? If so, how well did the rubber react to the drill bit?

If I could, I would like to drill a counter-sunk (relative to the frame) hole in the grip. In a perfect world, I would like to see a female phone plug that allowed for the "lip" of the mounting bracket to be on the outside of the grip (so that a large hole or "V" notch wouldn't be necessary).

Great job! Now if only I knew how to solder.

yeah i tried to drill a hole.. but the hole came out alot smaller than the drill bit... so i just cut a notch
