    10 year-old AutoMag

I'm actually not in a very good mood now, after writing this whole post including things like saying my mag is really old, i saw Tom shoot liquid CO2 into a automag(maint. video)... On purpose, and my repair story to get it back up and running... after probably not seeing daylight in 4years(rust on the bolt says something)...
    then... IT happened...

...I got IMed on AOL(i hate aol sooOOO much) and my whole system froze. wouldn't recognize Esc, Alt F4, or even Alt+Ctrl+Del... It didn't even show the blue screen of death... and it taunted me with the sound of people on my buddy list signing on... and the chime everytime I clicked or pressed something

Well... this is my short short version of my lost post

my AutoMag has a serial # of CF22662... Bought off ebay...
around 10 years old... and she's working just fine.
Played in a Tournament last saturday and only broke one ball all day (diablo blaze).

***Other then the level 10 upgrade, has there been any upgrades or internal changes made to the AutoMag design since the release of CF22662?***

    This is what I'm running

68 AutoMag CF22662 (it doesn't have the "Classic" on the valve
    Origonal:
    Grey Powerfeed Hopper-left main body,
rail, single trigger frame, sear, internals, 11" crown point, grey unmilled high-rise sight rail, and those black plastic single screw grips.

    Added:
    PhycoBalistics drop forward
    68ci Nitroduck w/microline
    Ricochet 2k
    skanline foregrip

thanks for any help you can give

I'd say replace the microline with some stainless steel hose or if you really want the look MACROline....either one of these would give a little better airflow.

if you want some sweet trigger pull, get an intelli frame, it is made by AGD and works better than any other trigger frame made for the mechanical mag....

The only 10 year old part that's been improved on, that you have'nt taken care off (by installing the level 10 kit) is the feed plug. The new parabolic feed plugs make feeding smoother. Other than that , like Havoc said, an intelliframe would make that into a sweet shooting mag.

I would of already got a double trigger (and frame of course), and dye sticky grips but I'm a poor paintball player/collage student who's trying to figure out how i'm going to get money to play this weekend... tournaments can be expensive, even in montana

I'm waiting on a J&J barrel in the mail.

oh, what ever happend to those Boo-yeah electronic grips?

really looking for a lighter trigger

The maintaince video was kind of interesting,
no mention of expanstion chambers, double triggers, or drop forwards. and guess what... we can expect to see and AGD Nitro system out for 92... oh man, I was amazed too

I was gone from the forums for a good amount of time, but last I checked the company that made Boo-yah(sp) closed and/or went bankrupt. It might have been bought out afterwards...

Either way, I think the Hyper-frame would be a better bet.

anyone try out the Mako frame?

I've been looking around at trigger frames and found this,

apparently it's by boo-yeah but just called mako
or mako bought boo-yeah, boo-yeah turned into mako
                or something

it's $150, about half that of the hyperframe and i can actually get it on line... a nice feature being in the pratically paintball barren northwest... well... montana anyways.

Yea the guys at Mako made the frame for Boo-Yaa all along. Some people have them and love them. The hyperframe is more popular and seems to be a better product. This is all based on what I've heard and not actual experience, so take it all with a grain of salt. I can vouch for Centerflag's customer service since I own one of their tanks.

As far as guys playing at Challenge Park, there are a few locals but a heaping lot of us will be there in late August for the William Shatner Big game.

that should be a blast, too bad i can't go
I'm going out there for a wedding and just can't afford to go twice within about 2 weeks.

I would drive, but i just can't stand the drive through north dakota... if any of you live there, i'm sorry but driving for an hour always seems like 2 going through that state

what are you thoughts about the blade trigger and double?

I'm looking at the intellifeed page now and they's two black options, flat and brite... is this just a dull black and a polished/shinny black?

Yea, shiny and matte finish; it should also come in nickel. I prefer the blade trigger, but it's all personal preference.

                        very cool load

looks like i'l be going for the intellifeed with blade

would probably be less fuss(to a minor degree) to get my fingers on a blade then in the groves of a a double...
perhaps more comfort when using my mag out from the normal firing position

Thanks a lot for your help

No problem, and remember the rule. When you get through fixing up your mag you have to post pics.

                            oh i will,
i actually have a digital camera that i can plug into my computer now

but it might have to wait until i get the intellifeed... or at least that J&J

that phycoballistics drop just puts a huge drop on my 68ci. about 8in forward and 4 down. my tank was just a huge stock before i got it, now i love the thing when i'm behind some barrel bunker that i thought was just a little bigger then it really was

oh, you guys should see our fields center bunker that we used for our tournament. It was a single (about) 22in diameter barrel, and it was center flag format so if you would have to get it in a grab and move to a bunker on either 40 because there wasn't anything decent for cover on the 50 besides what was on the tape.

***sorry, what marker and setup do you run?***
