      SFL E-mag
      68/4500 Centerflag Dynaflow
      Turborev
I usually run a warp feed on it but I have it off right now to test the level 10 mod I just got in.

      Here's a pic.

an understatement of my reaction would be wow

but that must have a considerable bulk to it, about how much does it weigh?

the two emags at my local field (both pretty much stock) are both just tanks to carry arround in comparison with some of the others out there

I'll get a picture of my 10year-old in a day or two
it's not much to look at but i got the center of gravity to be right in the grip with paint in the hopper

The SFL is comparable in weight to an Angel due to the really carved-out aluminum body. The regular e-mag is all stainless and noticably heavier. The Dynaflow is one of the lightest adjustable tanks out there. The warp does add some weight in it's not a heap of fun to carry hanging from your arm between games. But when it's shouldered and ready to fire the weight and balance are'nt a problem at all.

Without the warp it's like a feather.

go for a retro valve, and if ya decide to go back to getting an electro frame, wait a bit, cause mako is coming out with a MUCH better frame

Your mag is newer than you think. I have a mag with a serial number around 8000 and it was purchased new in 1993.

The first thing you may want to check:

Does it have the new style on/off top? If it has the old style with the X cut in it, then replcae it with a new one. It'll help with shootdown.

Check the alignment of the hole in the valve back with the hole in the front piece. If the holes don't line up, mark where the valve back hole needs to be and have it drilled out (only drill the valve back).

Get a parabolic feed plug. It'll make the balls feed better.

Get a powertube spacer kit (if you don't get a level 10 upgrade). It'll help make the trigger pull crisper and more responsive.

You really should look at getting a level 10 bolt kit. As you get used to the mag, you will find yourself in less than perfect shooting conditions with a gun that has the capability of shooting very fast. Eventually you will chop a ball or two. The level 10 will prevent that. It is the single most usable upgrade I have found for the mag.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.

the valve holes line up, and aparently i have the old on/off valve with the x in the brass... another piece to add to my list... ...the sear is also very worn so i'll probably replace that too.

level 10 is practically a must, i love the thing

parabolic feed plug? how do i tell the difference?

I found this one guy with a serial $ with mf and his was 91... or so he says

the technical video was filmed in early 92 (comments like, "look for our nitro system in 92") or late 91... that just tells me that it's early 90s... say 91-95
                      so 7- 10 years old

yea, i first heard about CPX when i was going through the brass eagle site for nostalgia purposes... and i was trying to find a replacement part for my first marker (tigershark baby, yea)... it needs that black... valve housing... that thing with the pin wholes and tank adapter. I was trying to unscrew the 12gram cartridge adapter and the pin whole things snapped off... cheap metal

i often fly back to chicago, used to have relatives in Rockford and still do in Wanecca (don't remember how to spell it)

DUDE, i was just looking at the on/off assembly at the agd store... man thats A LOT different... i mean, it has holes in the middle... is the brass even a removable part or did it become pratically one piece? looks like there's a seem and thus a separate brass but i can't really tell from the picture.

The new brass on/off top replaces the old one with the X cut in it. It is a direct drop in replacement and has no up or down so you can't put it in backwards anymore.

The video was made when the automag first came out. In fact, they still used/use the same video until just recently.

The serial number you have, I would guess, is probably a 1994 or 1995 vintage mag.

never had that probablom with putting my on/off in but ok

the picture of the on/off from the agd store has a glare to it so i couldn't tell if it was a single piece or multiple

                          thanks all
