i'm wondering. when i tip my gun sideways while chroniing when i use my short barrel. the velocity jumps way up down, up, etc. i mean like, i went to a speedball field and it was going 250, 340, 270
i was like what the hell. so was thinking it was the regulator seat. changed that with a new one. was doing the same thing. BUT heres the thing, when i turn it right side up. the velocity is way way better. like 280, 280, 283, 281
why? maybe the regulator pin and valve is little off or something?
    help.

      riooso,

riooso, I'm going to try that .. I am currently using the medium spring, so I will switch over to the smallest spring and see how it runs.

Have you chopped since you changed to the smallest spring? Please say no..lol.

I have an Extreme so I am electric with an eye, so I won't chop. Just try it and see what happens, I crono at 285. My brother and I both got markers at the same time and they both did the exact same thing. Thinking that it would be possible to trim a spring to be a little less than the middle. I really need to put a ball in the breech and see if I can chop it. Let me know how you make out.

I had the opportunity yesterday to trim down a "middle" spring and found that if I trimmed off about a 1/2 inch, not total length but along spring, that my velocities are very good and I have a lot "softer" bolt. I have the loosest carrier that I can put in and not leak. I understand that if you have a carrier that is to tight it grips the bolt and causes velocity problems.
