I belive soak it in warm water and it should loosen it up for you... might wanna confirm that, but I'm pretty sure thats right

sorry if you did try this, but have you just tried screwing it off? just get two wrenches and unscrew them. thats what i have always done with connections with locktite on it and never had a problem yet. infact they came apart pretty easily. then you spend 5 minutes with a pick trying to clean it out of the grooves so that it doesn't blow into the marker.

      good luck

try putting a hairdryer near it until it gets a little hot then it'll come off real easy

Red loctite doesn't come off. The other kind does, when heated up with a lighter or something similar. I know this from experience, I loctited my 3 way in on my old cocker and it would not budge, I even heated it up with a lighter for several minutes.

i got the hose and fitting apart. i used the bolw dryer on high heat and held it next to the valve for about 5 minutes and then i took two wrenches and got it to come apart. thanks alot Derman2k

one more question: doea anyone know how many threads you should screw the fittings together to be safe?

No problem...I know how annoying that red loctite is
Just screw them in about half way...that should be enough

You could always use Blue loctite or teflon tape too...

                          red loctite

Please stop referring to loctite 262, 270, et al, as "red loctite". There are many different types of loctite which are red.

You should NOT use a thread locker to seal pneumatic fittings. If you must use thread locker, stick to Loctite 242 (blue) which is easily removable.

What you should use is a thread sealer like Loctite 542 or 545 which should be available at any pump/compressor service shop.

If all else fails ask the manufacturer! Here's what I came up with. 511 seems to be best suited for paintball needs. http://www.loctite.com/catalog/produ...roductLine=511

                            Hope this helps some people.

I've not used 511 but the increased breakaway torque (3x that of 545) could come in useful. The 6 hour cure time is nice too. 54x takes 24 hours to cure.
