    Leak through barrel with RTPro

Ok, I gassed up my RT Pro earlier for the first time (got it during x-mas) this morning.

Worked pretty well and all, I love it.

However, later on I gassed it up and I busted the ASA o-ring. I tried another one and it was the wrong size, then I finally took one off of my old co2 tank and used that.

Now, I gas it up, near completion it started to leak out in little pfft pfft pfft pfft noises. Not like shot sounds, but as if gas was just leaking out somewhere. I screwed it in further, and it erupted into a really freaking loud stream.

Eventually I felt it, and it was leaking out the barrel.

I was going to replace my lvl 7 kit with a lvl 10, but halfway through the procedure, and one chipped tooth (-_-;; I decided screw it, and put all of the level 7 stuff back in. Just trying to provide all the information about it I can :P.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Did you take it apart at all? Disassemble the valve in any way? If it's a blasting leak, then i think you're missing an oring somewhere or something. PT oring? On/Off? Check to make sure you put everything back right.

WAH! I put the spacer in, but now it is still leaking when I screw it in, I just can't tell where it is because I don't feel it going out of the barrel anymore ;_;.

I only used an o-ring from the co2 tank

I use and 88ci 4500 psi Crossfire reg.

Pull and hold the trigger. Is the leak still there? If it is, it's the back half of the gun(reg seat, reg piston, valve oring). If it doesn't go away and only leaks when the trigger is not pulled, then it's the front half(on/off, pt oring). Make sure all orings are in good condition and are properly oiled. I find that alot of times my old school mags didn't work just because the orings were dry.

Lol, it appears that no one is reading everything -_-.

In any case, one time when I was trying to install the lx kit, I was taking out the on-off assy (don't ask why), and I did, but the pin thingy didn't come with it, it stayed in there and was all wabbly like and stuff.

Could this have anything to do with it?

Since the trigger isn't even pressurizing, I was thinking that it would probably be before the power tube, because it obviously isn't getting far enough to get there, odd though that it goes through the barrel.

Well, then again, my trigger slightly pressurizes when I put the tank in far enough, so mabye the leak is just so big that there isn't enough force holding it back for the trigger to pressurize.

It's really odd, it's almost like the nitrogen is just going through the valve, and straight out the gun, with nothing there to stop it. I mean, it sounds almost exactly like it would when you let some air out of a tank, just really loud and high pitched because of all the narrow spaces it goes through.

                    Any ideas?

                      *sigh*

go to the AGD website and download the exploded view of the retro valve, check everything and make sure its all there and in the right place, then come back and tell us whats missing (if anything) and all that

you said that there's no pin in the on/off assembly?? there's your problem with the trigger not pressurizing, and the leak out the barrel is because the pin isnt there to stop the air flowring through the power tube

If you don'g have an on/off pin, then wouldn't it just blow out air? Not to sure. Anyways, if you are missing an on/off pin, then i'm pretty sure that would be your problem.

No, it just never comes out when I pull out the on-off assy.

get some pliers and pull out the pin, and put some noew o-rings in the bottom of the on/off hole, and oil it up well, and replace the parts and see if it works

I just called AGD tech support, by what I described, they thinks it's a crack on the power tube.

Gonna send it in tommorrow for repairs and such.
