    Flatline 4500 Recharge Problem

At a tourney this weekend I had a problem arise with my Flatline 68/4500. The reg would not recharge at its normal rate. It was so slow in fact, that you could hear it recharging the marker after firing 1 shot.

After getting it home and inspecting it, I found no visible problems (ie Dirt, worn reg seat or other o-rings). I cleaned it all with a Q-tip anyway. Oiled the reg piston and put the reg seat back on. And it seems to be working fine.

My biggest concern is after searching the Tech forum I found several threads with similar situations being discribed, but a solution was never posted. Has anyone found out the cause of this problem. Is there an issue with the reg seats? Is it necessary to oil hte reg piston after every day or 2 of use? I would rather not have this happen again in the middle of a tournament, so any input would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe AGD tanks don't like flash fills... keep in mind I'm stabbing in the dark. Similar problems happen to most tanks.

The main problem with the 4500 Flatline is the reg. seat. It was an issue that delayed production and they still seem to be tempermental. In my experience, I've found that if you seperate the two halves, you should replace the seat. Also, don't fully tighten the two halves. Just screw them together by hand and give it a good twist and it should be fine. Use an o-ring grease like Dow33 on the piston o-ring and body and on the on/off cam.

The only other thing is to make sure you're using a fill nipple cover all the time to keep dirt out. That's the number one reason why air systems have problems.
