We need to know FOR SURE how long the pin is. .005 can make a MAJOR difference in the operation of the gun due to the strict tolarances.Originally posted by Peach
If it's about 3/4 of an inch... It is the right size for his gun, either a .740 - .745 The pin is fine. Do you have the tank screwed in all the way??
Eyeballing it will not work.

Dude,
I have followed your story from the get-go. I remember when the on/off pin shot out and cut your lip (I really wanted to see the pics!).
The bottom line is that you are in WAY over your head with this project. You need to send the gun to someone who is experienced with 'Mags (#1, AGD, maybe BlackVCG, too) You can get all the opinions and guesses' you can stand here on AO, but that won't get your gun fixed.
All the stuff you've added to the gun, all the money you've spent, now take the next step, and get it set-up RIGHT!
Really, though, I wish you the best of luck with your trcked out 'Mag. It'll be great, when it's all squared away!

Honestly, if you can't get the right answer here then it is likely you WILL NOT ANY WHERE. Several of the posters to this thread have actually been to AGDs tech class. After having been myself I doubt many IN THE WORLD can really fix a mag problem if they haven't. I'm not saying it is impossible - but this place is certainly better then the "tech at the shop" in almost all cases.Originally posted by maglover52

You sound like a bright guy if you built a mag from scratch. If that is the case then you'll trust people who know - YOU NEED EXACT MEASUREMENTS OF THE ON/OFF PIN AND TRIGGER ROD. You can't eyeball it, measure it with a ruler, or guess - it has to be done using the correct tools. If you don't have access to the tools - then bite the bullet and send it to AGD - they will fix it correctly and charge you a reasonable fee. With most others you'll just get charged.
