    Need help fixing a mag

Hey everyone...a guy brought his used mag into the store yesterday and it had a couple of problems. The first is the classic feed neck broke clean off. I'm talking about seperated from the body without fragmenting or anything. What is the body made of so I can get it welded back on?

Also the marker is leaking. It switches between out the back velocity adjuster and down the barrel. It has been totally rebuilt and even has a brand new on/off "valve" in it. I took it apart and cleaned it (it didn't need to be) and it stopped leaking for about 10 seconds and then back again. If you drop the velocity down to about 190 it doesn't leak as bad but at 270 and above watch out. Also if I pull the trigger back it stops leaking but when I let it go it leaks again.

    Help please.

Needs to be in the tech forum, but I believe it's the power tube spacer, try a different size.

And the feed neck is soldered on using Silver Solder, I'd probably send it back into AGD to get it fixed.

If it stops leaking down the barrel when you're holding the trigger back it's either the powertube o-ring or like Littmag said, the wrong spacer. If you've replaced the o-ring already try using a smaller powertube spacer.

Leaking out the back at low velocity is usually a reg piston o-ring or a faulty reg piston.

Bolt stick or leaking out the front = longer spacer
Prefire leak (slightly pulled back) = shorter spacer

PT oring needs to be checked too and well as bolt spring. I suggest you just replace them both.

Reg seat is a good place to start for the other stuff.

The broken body should be sent to AGD for re-soldiering. There are a few others can do it but its critical its in the right place. Roman can fix it up for you.

        Moving this to tech forum.

AGD, where we are so good we can do it with only ONE tube!

            thanks and sorry

            thanks for all the info

sorry it was in the wrong spot. I knew it was but I had already typed and sent it when I realized that it was.

I'll check and see if the owner wants a different body or whatever.

            Thanks
