I have the weirdest problem in the WORLD!!!

I have a lvl 10 lft. feed mag classic. When I bought it it had a 12 in. aluminum Dye barrel on it, which I know is larger than .688. last Christmas I bought a 16 in. boomstick for it. I can put the barrel on my gun and it will dry fire, but when I turn it to lock it and allow balls to feed, it pushes on the bolt, leaks N2 down the barrel, and won't fire, although sometimes it will do the pft thing. (likes it's bouncing off a ball. CAN SOMEONE OUT THERE PLZ HELP ME. I've been messing with my marker all day and about had an aneurism. I'm thinking it is because of the barrel bore size but I was wondering if any1 out there had had the same problem. PLZ HELP ME BEFORE I FLUSH MYSLEF DOWN THE TOILet!!!!plz help. thanks

        Shims , Springs, Bore Size

I"ve played around with the shims, carriers and springs with no luck. it is the standard .688 bore size. I'm going to try to turn up the velocity 2day and I'll let you know.

test fit the bolt in the barrel. also take a flashlite and look down the barrel to see if it is not centering for somereason. if it is, then the bolt will hit the barrel and not fire. also check the barrel for any burrs that maybe hitting the bolt.

There's nothing wrong with the barrel unless the o-ring has a big bump in it or somthing. it's the 2nd I've tried boomstick cause when it happened the first time I sent it back to Dye.

nope, I messed with it all day and no luck. I'm thinkin of just getting a cocker barrel and buying a ULE kit. Still, any suggestions would be helpful.

your bolt is rubbing. betcha the barrel is too small. take it (the bolt) out and make sure it slides very freely, with a little play, in the barrel.

it might be 2 small. umm, taking it to a p8ntball sop costs money, sending it to Dye takes time, but I'm willing to do it. P8ntball shops charge 25-30$ per hour and it's better to deal with the company unless your mommies paying for your paintball stuff.

ain't isn't a real word either. anyway, I just like saving money, but u might be right, a professional mightr be the best option, but everytime I've dealt with the ones in our area they've screwed something up. I'm still open to suggestions.

Couple more questions: do you have the rail bushing in place. If the rail bushing is not there that could be the cause of all your problems also make sure the body screw and field strip screw are tight. Out side of that if is not a a bolt to barrel problem I'm stumped. Those are my last two ideas.

yeah, it's there. I think pretty much everyone's stumped. I'm gonna just exchange it for a cocker barrel and get a ULE body probably. It'd be kind of nice to figure this one out for posterity's sake.

Did you tyr puttin the bolt down the barrel. How hard is you twist lockk ***. set? What do your barrell o-rings look like?
$25.00 for 1 hour is cheaper that $200.00 plus for the ULE and cocker barrel.
