what's everyones opinion on warp feed?

I'm considering an upgrade to the warp feed for my classic. I have an x-valve and evo 2. I would like opinions from players that have used them ( pros and cons). Thanks for any info you can provide. Squirrel Bate.

I really like mine a lot, but other people hate them. Before you buy it you should try one out. Also, with the Egg its right in your face and that takes getting used to.

I use a 12V revvy on top of my warp. I don't want to play without it ever again. If you do get a Warp you should get/do the on/off switch mod and the 12V mod IMHO.

The best thing about the Warp is it gives the ability to shoot out of bunkers that players without the Warp couldn't try. You don't have to shoot lefthanded. It also protects a part of your body that otherwise would be exposed.

The worst thing about the Warp is it's weight... 1 lbs. It makes the LCD hard to read on a EMag. It makes the guages on your tank hard to read. When it takes a hit, paint gets everywhere. It should come with an on/off switch.
          My feedback.

i hate mine i took it off and am not putting it back on i tried it in my back yard and hated it.adds to much weight to the side and to much weight period for just moving your freakin hopper. just all around crappy to me. not even worth 20 bucks let alone 115

While it's cool to have, and it really wows the other players, (intimidation is half the battle)sometimes it ends up being just another thing that by the end of the day doesnt work, and pisses you off. Many times, and I do mean many, I have wanted to just rip off my warp, and toss it into a nearby stream. Or sell it, but thats not nearly as satisfying.

              PROS:

              *It looks cool

*Gets the hopper off the top of your gun

              *Makes you a smaller target

*Can shoot at any angle for about 8 shots, then you may
have to turn it back over

*Puts the LCD of a Ricochet right in your face, so it's easy to read

*Can be intellifed (spins on every trigger pull)

*When it works(right), it does it's job.

              CONS:

*It's a little heavy (I got used to it fairly quickly)

*Battery and wire connects are weak, and you will probably spend a good deal of time re-soldering them

*One more battery you have to worry about

*Battery door is made by the devil to piss you off when you cant get it off. It can be quite tough to get open,a nd after a game, you really arent in the mood to fiddle with a stupid door. Put an on/off switch on it.

*When it doesnt work (right), it's sh#t.

Thats about it. If you can solder wires(simple), lift a little more weight, and are a patient person, you should be able to live with it. And I too, now hate the thought of having a hopper back on top of my gun. Working on that though. For about $120-$140 I'd say it's worth it.

I'm glad that someone started a thread like this. I've been debating the pros and cons myself. Does anyone know if there is a company (AGD or other) working on a hopper/warp combo as a single unit? I would be interested in purchasing a friction driven unit that could hold 100-200 paintballs in a small self-contained unit. Even if AGD could design the warp to include a small chamber at the rear of the warp to house pballs. If I had any artistic ability I would put on paper (or screen), but I think some of you understand where I'm going with that. As for some of the other comments. I've never used one on my rig, but there is a guy that I play with that has one on his cocker. He's had constant problems with the wiring and you're right it is heavy.

                Non occides!

While the on/off is definatly my first recommendation, if you just loosen the screw holding the shell together a tiny bit (the one near the battery door, the door will slide in and out much easier...

                    I loves my warp

Although warps might not be for everyone, I really love mine.

My 3 man team, comprised of all mags with warps, took first in a 22 team tourney last week. I personally took out a few people with hopper hits, and i could only laugh cause it wouldnt be happening to me.

My teammate crawled a snake, came out laying on his side and took out 2 people with his mag. Try doing that without a warp!

It might be a little heavy, but if you switch to a ULE body, your gun will probably be lighter than it was stock. Warps rule.

                      its pretty cool

I like mine a lot, just too many downfalls right now to keep using it.

The weight, for me, is an issue, but then again my gun is a freakin tank.

Also, I've had the wires that hold the battery snap on BOTH ends quite a few times and had to solder them back. The 9v attachment piece is now totally screwed up and the black plastic is being held on with tape.

And it also doesn't work too well (for me) unless I link it up to my I-Frame, the mag just doesn't vibrate enough to set it off (yeah, im too lazy to adjust the sensitivity, but not too lazy to set up the I-Link, go figure )

Anyway, I love it, just would rather it didn't have these issue.

P.S. Taking it on and off your gun is a pain in the rear, as is cleaning it if you ever get paint in it.

AGD - "I WILL KEEEELLL YOU ALLLLL! then we love you long time...."
quik -"10 round tubes and 1/2 naked asians? This cant be good."

                        Cons

About one of WarpedRT #2's cons,
if you follow my thread in the tech forum you can easily run your hopper off of the same batteries that runs the warp so it's not another set of batteries to worry about. Doing this also spins your hopper every time the warp spins, which is every trigger pull, so you will never have feeding problems.

It is a bit heavy, especially on my brick of a Shocker

I had one for a season. I liked it while it worked. I did not have mine I-fed and I think that was most of my problem. As the day went on the 9v would get weaker and weaker. As the batt got weaker so did the sensor, so towads the end of the day my Warp would slow or totally stop working.

If you are a serious tourney player go for it.

                            Warp+Revy in 1......?

Ummm, I don't think hooking your revvy up to your warp for batteries would be a good idea. The warp sucks batteries as it is, and if you hooked the 12v revvy up it you probably wouldn't even get half a day out of it before they ran out.

Maybe it works for you, but I don't think I want my battery ('cause you'll only have one) running out in the middle of the game.

If anything, you should think of a way to do the opposite, make the warp run off the revvy, not the other way around.

I hate playing w/o a warp. I hate having to shoot left-handed... warp cures this. I can play any part of the bunker w/o worrying about a hopper. I don't like being more visible with a hopper on top.

I'm used to it, and do not find it awkward at all, but rather find hopper on top to be awkward.
