    What a waste of metal........

Hi, I just wonder if anyone has any recommendations on the most accurate barrel for .68 caliber paintballs. The 10" I use now is not even worth the metal used to make it.

I own an Minimag with a Centerflag nitro tank in case you wanted to know. Thanks for the help.

i would only use a 12 in or a 14. 14 for anything and 12 for speedball but right now i only have a 12 and its pretty good on my omen. and the sad thing is my stock barrel is twice as good as my new all american i had on my mag. so i would think the pipe kit would be awesome.

Your waste of metal will shoot the same as other barrels, assuming that it was machined properly.

Make sure the problems you're having isn't something being overlooked.

As with all markers, your barrel/ball match will increase your accuracy. Although they aren't a very popular company right now, Smart Part's Freak system is the best IMO. The only ther company that I've found makes a 2-piece back for the mag is J&J's Edge.

          Not a Waste of Metal

If you are looking for a one piece barrel try the J&J ceramic barrel. Won't be a waste of "Metal". Love it on my minimag. Dosen't look to long due the grill work on the mini. It is a 14" barrel. Fairly cheap brand new on ebay.

          Peace

If the No.2 pencil is so popular... Why is it not No.1?

If Love is Blind, why is Lingerie so popular?

just what i was going to say, it is what is use, or a 32 degrees carbon fiber, that is the barrle i love the most, but dye ultrlights are very nice barrel, too. and as far as
freaks go don't buy them first off support the boycot of sp and second a lot of pro that use freak just use the biggest insert, so don't got will a barrel system, but no matter what barrel you get make sure it is 12 or 14in those are the two best sizes unless you play back then you might want to go 16in but a 14in would still work fine

No bankes, the pros don't just use the biggest insert. Trust me on this one. Shoot Hellfire or any other manufacturer's top paint and you'll see why. Only the back players use a slightly larger bore. A kit is well worth the money.

I agree with edweird, the Powerlyte is one of the best up there. Too bad I can't find one for the AGD feed. If you know of one, post here as I'd like to get one.

The best barrel I've ever shot was the first run of BOA barrels (when they were first handmade). I haven't owned a mag in years and I still have this barrel. Can't seem to part with it.

All barrels that are well made will have similar effects. I personally think my Lapco's are the best, but I would shoot a Dye or a Powerlite if someone asked me to. And yes, a 10" barrel will be just as accurate as a 18" barrel assuming they are both well made

Whatever man. They're metal tubes like everyone else's barrel. A cylinder with a hole in it... and some little holes.

All barrels do is act as a pressure chamber to get the ball up to 300fps. That's it. Other than that they have almost nothing to do with accuracy.

No barrel can overcome the inherent inaccuracy of a paintball. They go every which way except straight.

                            battery:

marketing speciallists have a job beacuse of people like you.

the hammerhead may be a GREAT barrel. But the 2" control bore makes it 100% worthless, IMHO.

FIRST, the ball accelerates in the control bore, not the second stage. It takes MUCH less energy to accelerate a ball over say 8" than 2". More energy translates into less efficiency. Thats my main gripe with the hammerhead.

SECOND, that outter stage doesnt even touch the ball. Who cares how its made...the ball is not supposed to touch it. Hoewver, we all know that it rattles around in there, but the rifiling and reverse porting do jack to help it go straight.

FINALLY, Q is right. Believe what you want to believe, but a 10" straight barrel machined well and a paintball that matches the bore size WILL shoot just as good as any other barrel.

i don't believe in paintball spin. There are some articles about it enen on this website I believe. Hammerhead started in my area. There are some automag barrels by hammerhead, they were the prototype ones but you can buy them at official paintball. It's in Garland, Texas.
