    pushing the boundaries of warp....maby

how long can the feeder hose from the warp be?
Is it possible to mount a large(larger) hopper as a remote
system - think large back pack?
back players would love this - less pods!
    just a thought.....

last I heard, AGD was working on something like that, but it may go on your belly. I think it had a warp feed at the bottom of the pack and that feeds to one on the gun which feeds the marker. I dunno if they'll push it as it would totally warp the structure of paintball.

and if it went on your stomach or your back, it'd be really hard to play the snake or get tight in those small bunkers. but i suppose you could market it to all the back players out there or scenario players. not sure your average rec ball player would need it though.

I heard that Palmer or someone did something like this a while ago, never really took off though.

Brilliant idea, though most back players are just continuously dumping pods into their always open hoppers anyway

            but no, really,
is there a limit to the length of hose suppling a warp?

the longer the hose, the slower its going to feed...the less responsive it will be.

if you want to run a backpack thing: do two warps

I have a backpack proto-type, just needs electronics hooked up. I call it a turtle pack. 40 bps and it can easily be stepped up. Now all I need is a partner with deep pockets. lol

I talked with tom about this and he showed me his attempt at it.

He had problems with disk slippage between the motor and the pulley. I'm looking into making one with a chain drive and slightly rougher disks.

                      longer hose

why whould a longer hose slow it down. Friction would slow it down too much the balls roll against each other. One ball goes in hose one ball comes out of it. Hose length shouldnt make too much of a difference. but i could be wrong.

                        Force = Mass X Acceleration

You are simply pushing more balls(mass) through with a longer hose and the force of the warp feed would have to be changed to bring the acceleration back up. The shorter the warp hose is, the better, just like the Halo with No-Rise feed necks. Less mass = more acceleration.

I'm thinkin if you WERE gonna do a backpack then you'd want a bigger, heavier duty warpfeed.

More weight=not really a prob for the back players.

I got pics toob but it's a tricky thing. If I put up pics you'll see a new halo or eggy on the shelves four months from now with my design. I communicated my idea to Tom three years ago, (I was impressed he answered the E-mail himself.) but he said he wouldn't look at it until I have a patent on it. This also makes it public record. So here I've been sitting for three years with the best thing in paintball since the invention of the automag and no money to produce it. (Sorry for crying in my beer.) But if you got da benny's Toob let me know.
