One more thing. I loaded my gun with a few paintballs and tried firing, it went f/a but it started leaking on the first shot. Is this runaway or something else? Sorry, I'm just trying to figure out if this runaway or a completely different issue.

Your velocity might be too low. It will leak if it's too low and then seal once you get the pressure in the valve high enough.

No. Your full auto has to do with you shortening your pin. His is different.

Check the output pressure on your tank. At 1000psi it will run full auto mimicing bounce.

I know for sure it isn't my velocity being too low, cause if I turn my velocity adjuster about a full turn it starts venting. And I know it isn't my tank, since it's preset. I think the f/a issue might be the field strip screw thing, too bad I can't test it out right now

well if the field strip screw dont work test your tank reg. They can mess up especially if they are crossfires. Ive been seeing people talking alot about their regs on crossfire tanks breaking.

Yeah... It has NOTHING to do with the shortened on/off.

A gun will go from working to full/auto in .015. (That's your on/off pin.)

If you took too much off, you get full auto.
