i finally got around to replacing all of my orings in the valve but did not have a tank to test it with. my tank came back from rehydro today so i aired it up and a small amount of air came out of the blow off valve. well i pulled the trigger and the air stopped.......a few seconds later the leak came back.....pulled the trigger again...it stopped again. It continued to do this. I pulled the valve out, inspected it to make sure no dirt was on the reg seat and that it was in the right way. Everything was fine. I then put the valve back together and aired up again, same thing. I even adjusted the velocity screw which did very little in helping stop the leak. I then replaced my new reg seat with the old original one, aired it up and major air flow came out of the back of the blow off. At this point I am confused. So for the hell of it i put the new seat back in and aired it up, no leak as of yet!!??
So does a new reg seat need to break in to seal correctly? Or is this another problem? Also, are you suppose to lube the seat or oring that seals the 2 halves of the valve (the big one that sits on the back half)? I did not because I could not find anywhere in the manual that says to lube it. Thanks for any help and your time.
