co2 on RT valve good?

will running co2 on a ReTro valve have adverse effects on the valve? I managed to hook up my gun on a 20lb bulk co2 tank and to my surprised it shot well.

DO NOT RUN A RETRO VALVE ON C02! It was not designed to run on co2, but only on HPA.

That's pretty unusual.The only real 'adverse' effects is frozen o-rings/seals.I've never even tried myself but the general consensus is that the recharge is so fast that it would freeze in few shots at best.What was your setup,how were you shooting etc.

why would u do this please sell your rt to me i wil save it from u it says COMPREESED AIR ONLY as far as effects afew shot o-rings probably and with the long remote setup it may not matter much but u wil not get the reactivity and perforamce it was meant for

yeah thats what I thought(that it would freeze up after a few shots) before I hooked it up. I shot about 50-75 shots consecutivly. I only stopped b/c it got repeatitive and it was in the house(don't wanna wake anyone up). Is it possible because the sheer volume of available air supply that it recharged faster enough to fire continously? also I did noticed that there was some reactivity(unregulated co2 is around 800-850 psi in room temperture IRRC). If I had a video camara I would gladly shoot some video of it(someone want to send me one?).

note...I was bored so I just decided to mess around. When playing I use HPA on all my guns. The only reason I have a bulk c02 tank is from my renegade playing days. Now I use it to make a little cash from the neighborhood kids.

I've never tried,but not for any reason.I've often thought that is may be possible then BlackVCG said no way in heck even with an expansion and a remote but I didn't think it was worth arguing.

I'm guessing it wasn't with paint?

Maybe give that a try for grins.I have CO2 tanks here but they haven't been filled in years or I'd try it myself.

I have run a few things on Co2 that weren't supposed to work with it, including a BKO. I still don't know why the RT valve couldn't do it. Anti siphoned, double regged CO2 should be just like HPA AFAIK and IME. But I trusted AGD. I am going to be pissed if it is doable, and AGD just says it isn't to cover thier asses or because it's not easily doable. Because I just bought a classic.

ok guys I shot it with paint and it rocks. also I was able to get me digi cam to record a short vid, unfortunetly there is no sound(hey its a vivtar digi cam, can't expect much more). Now what I need is someone to host it for me.
