I used a Phase II Bolt for a while(came with my mag), its not whats causing you problems.
Oh my! An imposter!

Well, I just got my rebuild kit and redid everything in the valve, it still does it. Oddly, it doesn't seem to do it for the first 20 shots or so. Then it starts the spontaneous discharging. And when you pull the trigger, and release it, fully and quickly, the bolt will jump 1/4 of the way foreward on the release about 1 out of 5 times.
I have also gutted my reg and ran it on a stabilizer, but it does the same stuff, very consistent over my chrono, just doesn't run right.Comment

First of all your bolt sould not I repeat should not touch the bumber when resting and do not force it to touch.
That small gap means the bolt is resting on the o-ring.
I had a similar problem wit my Mag. It would shoot and then on the next shot roll out of the barrel literally. This was an extreme case of shootdown but might be of some use.:)
I fixed it by going to the regulator halve of the valve. try cleaning or replacing the reg. seat then test. If the problem occurs then that wasnt the culprit. Next check the regulator piston o-ring and retest. If problem persists check the spring pack next try turning the spring pac around I think this caused my problem. If you notice the velocity jumps at a slight turn of the velocity adjuster this might beyour culprit if the problem persists its either the on/off, powertube/bolt(bolt indefinetly),or that little spring may have dirt stuck in it.
hope this helps.

Oh yeah make sure to give the piston reg. and the power tube o-ring good amounts of oil.:)Comment

But I already am bypassing the reg entirely...try cleaning or replacing the reg. seat then test. If the problem occurs then that wasnt the culprit. Next check the regulator piston o-ring and retest. If problem persists check the spring pack next try turning the spring pac around I think this caused my problem.Comment

My best guess is that your ANS bolt is defective (big suprise) and somehow the bolt stem came undone and is backing out, or maybe it is a factory defect. If you gutted the reg then that leaves the on/off basically. Make sure you have all the factory stuff in there. Any aftermarket stuff will cause problems.
Its either the on/off or the bolt. I'm guessing bolt.Comment

I saw that after Im just too lazy to edit it. take a good look at your bolt for any abnormalities.
If its not the bolt its probably the on/off. Gas it up and hold the trigger if it makes a sound like a sprinkler you have a bad on/off o-ring.
If all else fails burn the ANS bolt and get that LvL 7 from Mag89.Comment

maybe the different tolerance of the ans bolt means you need a different size power tube spacer?Comment

Maybe I should buy a powertube spacer kit? The one in there has a number on it if that's important. Could someone explain how the power tube spacer makes a difference? I'm guessing it's to tune where the PT oring sits. But I can't visuallize what difference it makes.Comment

A Spacer kit would only be of use if you had bolt stick, or leaking down the barrel.
Like I said, dont worry about that. It seems to me it's either the bolt or the on/off, if you have tried everything I already told you to. (IE checked rail bushing)
Before you go buy something to try to fix it, look at the diagram I posted above and make sure EVERYTHING is in the right order. Make sure the power tube spacer and the power tube oring are placed in the right order. Make sure the on/off is in the right way.Comment

Get the LvL10 for your mag that will prolly help. Dont worry about C02 with it. I only use C02 with my LvL10 mag and have no problems. If the LvL10 doesnt work then i dont know what your problem.Comment
