A good question. Ans: I have no idea.
I think my X-mag battery is getting old. Towards the end of the day, E-mode gets intermittent. Maybe NiMH has a memory problem. I'm going to have to order a new battery (or two).Comment

I had the same experience except that I just had to tighten down the fieldstrip screw down with an allen wrench. From what I heard, some x's needs to be tightened down, some do not. The only problem I have now is that I have to switch to manual to get e-mode to fire. But only sometimes.Comment
