Don't adjust the trigger rod. It should be at 1.985". You'll need some calipers now that you've adjusted it so you can get it back to the right size.
The gun can be fixed, but you should take the time and learn what you're playing with. Get the video, understand what you're adjusting.
After you get the trigger rod back to its correct length, turn the velocity up. If that does not fix the problem, take the on/off assembly apart again and make sure you put it together correctly. The blow up diagrams are available on Airgun Design's website. Assuming you don't have Level 10, there's not much else to go wrong with the gun.Comment

argggg i tried all that already
thanks for the help would there be any sites w/ walkthroughs i dont really want to buy any videos or spend any money unless its on parts or a new valve or something ........should i just get an rt valve? about how much do they go for? im a turny player and i like the fact that i dont use electros so what im saying is what will it take to get this minimag close to what i have in my cocker. ......... sorry if i sound impatient or just moronic...lol

You can get the diagrams online from AGD. With the valve in the gun, adjust the trigger rod so that there is about 1/16" of gap between the back of the trigger and the front of the rod while the trigger and the trigger rod are forward.
Check the on/off assembly. Is the brass top piece a newer universal top(no up or down) or does it have an X cut in one side. If its the older X type, make sure the X faces out of the on/off hole.
With air attached, turn up the velcoity until the gun fires.
Are you using a high pressure tank? Don't use a low output tank. They won't work on mags.Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.Comment

huh......
Thanks Dayspring for reply. Reason I asked WHY was because I adjusted mine out to take out extra trigger slop and I don't have any problems. Frame I use is a Benchmark double trigger 45.Comment
