Goin for the ultimate lightweight mech mag...whadya think?

So I'm trying to make an uber-ultralight automag. Here's my current list:

    warp-right ULE body
    wingless roguerail
    rogue vert. frame
    x-valve w/ ULT
Stiffi barrel (not sure of length yet)
    qloader
    CenterFlag or NitroDuck 45/4500 tank.
maybe a drop, i dunno. I'll see when I put it together

So, whadya think? The only think I'm unsure of is the mounting of the qloader. Right now, on my micromag, I have it under the barrel. That works well, but it means my gun is LONG (same length as a 14" barrel). I want a shorter gun, so I might check out the Custom Mount qloader is coming out with this week and see how that works. In that case, I'd probably get a 10" barrel, or maybe 12". As far as the tank goes, I'm looking for pretty much the lightest I can get. I was told that flatlines, nitroduck, and CenterFlag are all very light. I can find the NitroDuck tanks, but I can't find CenterFlag anywhere. Anyone know where I can get one? www.paintballgear.com has the tank regs, but no tanks...?

You might want to consider a rail + on/off combo instead of a drop. You could possible save a little weight going that route but I guess it would depend on how big of a drop you planned on getting. Either way it sounds like a nice setup!

yep I just bought one from ClassicMagger yesterday. As far as the drop goes, I don't know what I'm going to get. My current setup is a Maxflo bolted right to the frame. Then again, it is a Maxflo, so it doesnt stick back very far. I just don't know.

Also, I need the qloader CMS (custom mounting system)! I want to mount the qloader somewhere other than under the barrel so I can get a shorter barrel (with the q under barrel, it's the same length as a 14"). THanks for the advice.

you didn't mention what trigger frame you're going to use. for weight, you can't beat the carbon fiber frames by AGD.

frame? Rogue vert. frame. Then, eventually, the Hair Trigger. Not only is this going to be insanely light, it's going to be insanely fast too, with no batteries.

Let us know what the total weight is (gun only) when you get it completed.

i will. It'll be probably a month, maybe a month and a half. I just depleted my bank account on the rail, body, frame and valve.

Check out Q-Loader Tech Thread. A couple pictures in there you maybe interested in.

Personally, I like FutureMagOwner's setup. See his marker on the Z-man's (New) Mag Gallery. It looks like a warp mount with an ASA adapter mounted on it. Ingenious!

Ive seen the Universal Mounts before; where can I get one? qloader doesnt make them.

The Warp Mount is used to mount a warp feed system. And I believe its a Vertical ASA Adapter mounted on the end. Its using a standard Q-Loader mount. Q-Loader has a custom mounting socket available. But I'm not sure what it is or how it mounts differently; picture is too small to even see what you get.

On the top of the marker, he's using a 90 Degree Warp Adapter with a power feed plug installed. If you have a standard feed neck, you probably do not need the warp adapter.

i just bought a warp mount and the 90* feed tube thing. I was looking at my qloader tube on my micromag, and if I get the 90* elbow for the warp-right body, it will be really tight. Im leaving for a week's vacation tomorrow, so hopefully everything will be here when I get back!
