X Valve cleaning and disassembly guide.

I just made this on the fly while cleaning my valve, I thought I'd post it since theres a lack of photo guides out there, I hope this helps someone out!

If anyone has any suggestions let me know!

You should go to each gun manufacturers forum or call them up. Ask the OWNER of the company why his gun is better. When you get your answers come back here and tell us what they said.

You should buy my gun because I have 5000 posts that say I care.

NICE DUCK HUNT... i've been meaning to get around to something like that... you might add the step of oiling your carrier oring and the bolt stem before putting the bolt back on... thats something i do everytime, but i dont think its absolutely needed.

you dont HAVE to oil the outside of the bolt..... you dont have to oil anything..... but wherever there is metal to metal or oring to metal contact its a wise thing to do..... we all differ slightly on how to oil our markers, but the nice thing that they are tough enough to be relatively indifferent..

                  # of shims

my gun came with 3 installed. my bolt sticks forward sometimes so i added a shim. thats what your supposed to do, right? now it leaks really badly. should i add another shim?

theres no real normal it vairies from valve to valve the more shimms you put in there the more leaking your gonna get, use the biggest carrier that dosent leak and then try the bolt with no shims, if it wokrs fine leave it otherwise start working your way up with shims

I definitely like the guide but isn't discarding your marker after taking the valve out a bit harsh? I kinda like my marker and it goes well with my valve. This could get expensive.

Just a little humor. Its definitely a great resource. Thanks for the time and effort you put into it. Please don't take the joking personally.

when you disassemble my valve, you pull the bolt off of the metal slide thing. my bolt wont go all the way over the slide. its only a about one quarter of a centimeter or less, i dont know. because it cant go over the whole way, it makes the entire assembley of the valve longer. it goes farther into my body. because i have the ult, i noticed that the pin behind my trigger wont fall down when im de-gassed. the bolt covers something in the mainbody which needs to be uncovered in order for the ult to work. i think. how do i get the bolt to slide all the way over the slide?

Is that a warp priming button I spy in your left grip panel? intriguing. I've been doing that for a while, but usually near the forgrip or in the frame itself. Is it just a radioshack submini pushbutton glued in the grip?
