The automag design makes this presumption impossible. The 8 hole mod has to do with the reg body. Which has nothing to do with the sound signature of the gun.

Perhaps you changed the barrel at the same time?
what are you alking about? having a new air valve is NOTHING like stickers on a car!maybe you can compare stickers on a car to...well.....STICKERS ON YER GUN!!! i tried my gun 4 times withing 5 minutes with both the AGD A.I.R. valve, and the 8-Hole charger, it was quieter, unles maybe, the 8-Hole actually makes the gun so loud that it damaged my hearing. i did my test with the same barrel(12 inch Boomy) by the way, stickers on a car might make yer car faster if the stickers looked like flames, at least it would look like you were faster.

I think you are on crack. Ther is no way that the back halve of the reg maks your gun quieter. If ir really can i want a qualified air smith to explain it to me because i dont believe it.
Sorry for the spelling. Im still working on it.

        max you are dreaming,

if you look at the design of the automag valve there is no way an 8 hole can change the sound signature of the gun.

The flow from the back half of the valve gets sealed off by the on/off assembly as soon as you pull the trigger and the dump chamber releases its air into the barrel.

The second one is the mag animation

Look at the GIF, now, tell me how the 8 hole has anything to do with the sound signature of the gun?

let me try to explain this, if a noise is made down one PVC pipe that has a diameter of say...3 inches, it is gonna have a certain level of decibal sound, right, now, take the same noise and make through a 3 inch PVC pipe that is connected to 8 other pipes, now, which would sound louder if listening through one pipe, the 8 hole, or the single hole?

That is the best i could try to explain it, if that is not the reason, then i dont know why it sounds quiter ot me and my friends.it is a fact that while the valve gets all the air it needs through the 1 hole, that an additional 7 holes isn't going to hurt your performance, anyway, i got a extra cup-seal when i bought it.i did have problems at first when i tried to screw it on, no matter how hard i tried, my mac-line elbow would the body rail becuz i could screw the 8-hole in far enough to get the interlock pin into place, ultimitaley leading up to not being able to line-up the hole where the field strip screw goes in but in time, it magically worked, and now, it is too EASY to screw in and i will have to try to turn it when my valve is already fastened.

That really dosent make any sense. Its a faulty analogy.

You take 1 pipe fill it up with air and you take 8 more pipes and you fill it up with air. Now you make all the pipes lead into one hole. Now you seal the pipes up via the valve which one makes more noise? Neither.

The back half of a mag valve is just a regulator. Regulators don't make significant noise. Especially when it becomes sealed off durng the actual firing cycle of the gun.
