i was working on my old tippmann in my shop (my dad owns and transport company along with the farm) and my mechanic came over and was looking at the oil i was using(splatt i think) and said that it was the same as lightweight hydrollic oil. he asked how much it cost and i tild him the truth it was $13 for 1 fluid oz. he crapped himself and said he could get me hydrolic oil that he says is the same as my paintball gun oil for about $.35 for 1 oz. now i dont want to ignore our mechanic he has been working on machinery and truck for over 50 years but i always understood that alot of stuff was bad for a paintball gun.
so would it be safe to try some other types of oils? like lightweight hydrolic oil or veggie oil and stuff like that or should i keep on paying a fortune in oil made specifically for paintball markers
