      Similar Problem

I have a similar problem with my minimag. When the CO2 bottle is screwed onto the marker, it shoots fine for the first 15 to 20 shots. Then after that, it seems that the bolt is sticking and gas is leaking from the barrel of the gun. If i hold the trigger, it seals until i pull it again. It seems that after sitting for a few minutes and i try shooting again, i might gat 2 or 3 shots before it does this again. I just ordered and replaced the spring and bumper pad. Need to replace rings? They seemed to be unharmed when i looked at them.

Bigkahuna your problem is probably that your valve is freezing up with liquid co2 in it. you should either consider switching to compressed air, but if thats not an option, get an expansion chamber and maybe an anti siphon tank.

I have an expansion chamber on the gun, i have been shooting this exact set up for about 2 to 3 years now and haven't had any problems out of the CO2 until now. Any other ideas as to what the problem could be?

nomally when you hold the trigger and the leak stops that means the poblem is an oring or a spacer in the powertube, not in your on/off assembly, so i would check there first.

If it leaks when you hold the trigger, then it is usually an indication that one of the top on-off orings is leaking. That same problem would cause your bolt to move forward when you air the gun up. Check the top two orings in your on-off assembly. Even though you replaced them, a piece of dirt may be causing a problem.
Except for the Automag in front, its usually the man behind the equipment that counts.
