    X-Mag + Halo = Disaster

So, I have an X-Mag, well had two, but down to one, and I sanded the Halo feedneck down just enough to fit into the X-Mag center feed breech. Last weekend while out playing, I got a bad paintball stuck in my Halo B and went to take the breech off. While I was holding the hopper the CF breech broke the halo feedneck off.

So, I have a CF breech for an X-Mag that has the outer shell of a Halo feedneck stuck inside it.

Anyone have some recommendations on how I can get the broken off feedneck out of the CF breech without completely messing up the breech?

If there was someone doing the clamping feedneck mod, or willing to provide some "DIY instructions", NOW would be a great time to look into it, I guess.
    I went like this :shooting:
He went like this :tard: then like this :wow: then like this
Now he shoots a Mag too...

When this happened with my Eggy and my Matrix, I just took a small screw driver and a rag, and gently pried it out. I ended up putting two little scratches on the inside of my feedneck, but it worked...

Take a hacksaw blade in hand and gently cut the plastic. If you are careful you will not mark the breech. I just did this to a ule body I just bought and there was really no damage.

      Just be slow and careful.

      Good Luck!
      ......You know you want one!!

What about a pair of needlenose pliers? Stick it in the breech, and then spread the tip so it wedges underneath the broken feedneck piece.

I would also just give the entire breech a few wraps of electrical tape for a little protection from scratches when taking the halo pieces out.

Well, it broke off lower than the top of the feedneck. I might have to try the saw technique. Still open to other suggesgtions though...

same thing happned to me too... i took a dremel with a bit that more or less melted the plastic and wouldnt damage the inside of the neck. i ended up scratching it some, but if it was an xmag im sure i could have been more careful and did it without scratching... just whatever you do sit down and take your time with it

melt it out, just get a needle hot and melt the plastic it will take awhile but it wont hurt anything

So your suggestion is a red hot poker... Yeah, I like that. What about just taking a butane torch to it to melt it out in one spot?

Think maybe boiling it would have any effect?

The pliers is out, as it's in there so well, I know I wouldn't be able to get a grip on it.

Carefully use a utility knife, or exacto knife and slowly slice up and down, till you score it enough, that you have a break and you'll have a crack where you can insert a flat screwdriver to work it out. Don't hurt yourself and take your time!

When this happened to me, I simply, SLOWLY, and carefully cut it out. Just take it slow and easy. Pay attention to what is happening and things will turn out just fine.

You can use a Dremmel with a rotor zip bit and cut into to it 80-90%. That should loosen it enough to take the peices out.
