While the helicoiling CAN be done with a hand drill I'd suggest that this would be a good excuse to buy one of the smaller and cheaper drill presses and do the drilling more accurately. If you're messing with mechanical stuff like paintball markers or many other house projects then a small drill press is often a very handy thing to have and it'll easily last you for a lifetime.

I'm pretty sure this was for sale here, and I was trying to get my hands on it... Wouldn't give me some cash on top of it for my basically new Ego though, and the guy was pretty snotty about it.

                    Edit: is this it? http://www.automags.org/forums/showthread.php?t=215788

That sucks dude, but like everybody said with some proper cleaning, and a seal kit you should be good to go.

I'd strip all the o-rings off of EVERYTHING and than degrease (engine) it. That's the only way your going to get all the sand out. Than make sure to totally get rid of the degreaser with something like a brake line cleaner solution (cleans but isn't hard on plastics/rubber). Than just look for deep gouges. The gouges in the metal are what is going to kill your o-rings. If there is nothing major grease and oil everything and try it out. Maybe also first replace all the o-rings with new ones.

I'd actually send it to AGD if you got the $ or care enough about the valve. Otherwise either sell it cheap here and use your x-valve or keep it and do whatever with it, display?

make sure to leave the negative feedback on the new PBN feedback system.

go to the sale thread. if you look at the sellers first post there should be a small link that says "leave feedback for seller"
click it and leave the feedback there. it's supposed to be more credible than the old system and much harder to hide or brush under the carpet. if you have any questions, drop me a pm as i probably won't be back here.

sorry to see such abuse on a beautiful marker. i try to avoid that forum because i have heard about too many similar experiences from others.
