    Piecing Together My First Mag

Ok, I've been wanting to assemble a 'Mag for a while but now I want to get actively working on it. All I know right now is inline blowbacks ( currently A-5, ) and my T-8 ( I know the blowforward is similar to 'Mag operation. ) Now, I've done some research on some basics but on the rest I don't even know if I'm asking the right questions. I know it's annoying for new people to show up and start asking the same questions that have been asked over and again in the past and have already been answered. But like I said I'm not even sure I'm searching for the right things or asking the right questions so if you bear with me a bit I'd really appreciate it. I don't need all the answers retyped, a link for something I can read would be more than excellent. So, here's my ideas on my ideal 'Mag, so far as I understand them.

My dream 'Mag would be something like this. I want to use an E-Mag trigger system so I have mech and electric modes. However I have no XP with e-trigger systems. So, would you recommend I stay with the stock board or switch to something else? I have no clue about programming, firing modes, timing settings, software versions, etc. However I'd be more than willing to settle for a normal fully mech trigger frame for now so long as it's the normal 1911 type that I've held on Tac Ones.

As for a valve, I really don't care between steel and aluminum ( 3 oz is not worth $100 to me, ) so long as it's functionally the same to an X-Valve ( LX included, etc, ) and can take a ULT. Granted if I end with E-Mag lowers then the e-trigger will likely make the ULT moot. But if I end firing mech mode for some reason, can I still get the bounce effect like on a Tippmann RT?

Rail I don't care about. I really don't have any particular style I'm looking for so long as it works. I don't favor a vert foregrip so the rail doesn't even need an attachment for one. Then again the E-Mag battery pack would be there too if that's the route I ended on. Though I've noticed some rails ( I guess they're older ones, ) have three mounting holes on either side for mounting various things.

For the main body, I don't have any particular needs other than a warp feed right. I plan on attaching a Q-Loader to the right side, under the barrel makes it too forward heavy for me. I don't think I want a Warp as it increases the marker profile and make it taller than I'd like. Finally I want to attach a sight on top ( I don't like offsets, ) so I'd either need a main body with top rails or get one of those secondary rails that can attach to the body assembly rail.

So, that's my basic, somewhat detailed, plan for my future 'Mag. Can anyone give me some tips or pointers on it? Better yet do you have any leads on players that are selling 'Mags or parts that I want? Thanks a lot.

Here is a E-pneumag using an Ion

The perfect spot for the person who likes to build their own markers or tinker.

Here is one using an Ego

Sounds like you want a E-tac

E-mag lowers. For that mech to electro style. But prepare to pay, the lowest I seen was $275 . They are IMO the best electro frame for mags.

Those are stock rails, or cut from stock rails. Pretty much any frame you want to bolt on thats electric I.E Hyperframe is either winged or wingless. If you go with the E-mag lowers then you need a E Mag rail.

For the main body, I don't have any particular needs other than a warp feed right. I plan on attaching a Q-Loader to the right side, under the barrel makes it too forward heavy for me. What kind of sight? If your looking to mount it to a Pictanny (SP?) rail then look at a Warp Tac-One body. If to say a ANS rail a ULE body should work. If you want to go with a cheaper route or like twistlocks, they got SS bodys that are modded for Warp. And getting really and extreme expensive X-Mag body but good luck on that one, your better of
fighting a rabid pit bull then these guys parting their X-Mag.

Well thats my advice but I'm sure one of these AO guru's can point you to the right location.
      This space for rent.

Thanks for the info and links, they've been helpful. I don't think I'll go the pneu route, at least not yet. Ive' never tried to walk, fan, or bounce a trigger in my life and I'm quite certain I'd make an even greater fool of myself if I tried. As for a sight, I'll likely just pull the reflex off my A-5 and swap it over. Yes, it mounts on a Weaver type rail ( I think it'll fit both Weaver and Picatinney, ) but I'm a little cautious about a Tac One body. The only top rail, again I don't like offset, is on the very front and I don't know if that would be too far forward to be useful. And I'd like to stay with a ULE body, or at least one with threads instead of twist-lock.
