odd questions, and possibly the wrong place to ask them...

ok, I have some odd questions...

first (and I fully expect a good ribbing at the very least, or possibly outright flaming at the extreme) when an Ion has the body cover removed (like if you were to change out to an upgraded body/cover) and there's still all the internals and inner body tube, what's the outer diameter of the inner body portion?? (wow, is that as confusing as it looks? )

second (and this one should be easily answered on here) what's the outer diameter of a ULE body?

thanks in advance for any and all help, comments, insults, etc, etc...

no no no...I WOULD be ashamed if I were actually doing anything with an Ion...LOL

I'm thinking of using one of the fancier aftermarket/upgraded Ion bodies to dress up a relatively boring looking ULE

well, we make some of the stuff for the navy (technically we make stuff for a company that assembles it into stuff for the navy)...themral/IR imaging components for FLIR...

biggest part we make is maybe 2 feet in all 3 axis's...
