    electropneumatic help

I am wondering if anyone can point me in the direction for a how-to / guide for a electropneumatic mag.

i need to look at the idea more indepth for an aplication elsewhere and would really like to see it on a standard mag.

Also, how close must you have a electropneumatic noid to the part it is working?

    Thank you ahead of time,

Yah, like he said. I have been looking for a detailed build guide too.

I think all e-frames are made differently because of the difference in the dimensions and placement of the board, noid, and LPR, and the dimensions of the frame being used. Good luck finding what you need though.

        well

well i know each are different due to different specs. But i am looking for just a basic outline/guideline. just to get the main idea of what is what and why and what it does.

        So yea, any will work.

          Lets me a Guide

          Chris;

I think your looking for a "guide" that doesnt exist.

My advice to you would be to hunt down the Pneumag thread on here (the one Cyberave68 made) and read that first. Then once you get that down as a second language,.... then you can grasp the EP concept without fail.

Going into the EP concept can be scary if you dont know the way the layout works for certain reasons.

Hunt that pneumag guide down... read up on it,.. then PM me. We can start a new thread to hammer the guide out on AO and then post a final copy.

            actually

i have already actually got that setup down. i actually know that one by heart now with how it is basicly setup and how it operates.

but the part that i am having a little confusion on is the electricpneumatic noid setup and how exactly that ties into the system. i mean yes, i already know that there is a few different noids that can be used for it.....but still would like to see.

Yeah,.. I think so. I gotta look at the PM again.

Well, if you know the Pneumag setup,.. then just replace the MSV-2 with a solenoid of your choice.

The ADD the battery to power your ADDED board to control the solenoid.

Thats where your setup will start.

The largest problem is layout. You want the shortest hose distance from the solenoid to the ram/actuator.

You also need to use a frame that is large enough on the inside to fit all the stuff. This is the hardest part to get over.

Heres a diagram that give the basic layout for a visual idea

                  hmmm

Alright, so i understand that. and none of those are problems. so let me ask this then.

would you happen to know of a double acting EP noid? instead of just pushing a single action actuater.....it would be working a double action ram? like a cocker ram.

                    Yeah,...

Any of the MAC 43x/44x/45x solenoid valves will work.

Any of the SMC SYJxx series valves with or without a manifold will work.

Any of the SMC SYxx series valves with or without a manifold will work.

Give me a good downloadable schematic and I could tell you.

Most EP mags use a 3 way noid (air in, air out, exhaust). To power a double action ram you would need to use a 4way noid (air in, air out, air out, exhaust) like electric cockers use.

                            specs needed

okay, ran into my problem/question. What is the max power output for the universal t board? I have tried calling them got no answer. tried searching it....no luck. The reason i ask is because i have figured out what noid i need to use. but it will require some power to use it.
