98c max ROF

Alright please don't flame me for this,
here's my setup:

I've got the pneumatic sear tripper on it:

I want to get the max ROF out of it, here's what I'm gonna do to it, tell me if you can think of anything else,
New rear hammer from Dark Horizon(is it lighter than the lp kit hammer? not sure)
New solenoid(anyone know what kind? I was thinking of using the same one NN used as seen here: http://www.model98.net/phpbb/viewtop...supergun+lives but I'm not sure if it will work)
New board(I'm thinking of using a mini-morlock but I'm not sure if it will work)
Graphite for lube
Anything else?

but please, dont use graphite. i nearly choked to death when i saw my friend was lubing his gun with graphite...
its ment for firearms, not sensitive paintball equipment

do your paintball guns operate using high temperature explosive rounds? no? then you dont need graphite..

actually i used it on my other 98c it works really well but if your internals aren't polished it well destroy the marker.

Alright, let me warn you, DO NOT waste your money on that rear bolt! Its a peice of crap that throws off everything, You would need to mess with your valve and drive springs to get it to work. The stock bolt is the best.

Now to make it faster, I would not bother messing with the solinoid, Its most likely fine beacuse you just operating a little ram to trip your sear. I also believe that NN solinoid is a 5-way you would only need a 4-way if its a double-acting ram (like cocker) or a 3way if thats a spring return ram.

To make your 98 shoot faster, the Mini Morlock would be your best bet, you would have to mess with the timing/dwell but it will work.

You do not need to worry about 98 system keeping up. Theoretically it can cycle at least 40bps. But obviosly you wont get PBs in and youll get mad shootdown.

Basically all you need would be the Morlock.

hmmm...you think the rear bolt would mess` it up? Well i've got an extra so maybe i'll order it and test it on that. Now i just need to allocate the funds to pay for the morlock and get my Intimidator out of the shop, hard decsion

Now I'm gonna have to figure out how to fit it in there

The rear bolt will do NOTHING.
The lighter rear bolt will require you to lighten your valve spring, and strenthen your drive spring.
You will gain no performance at all. Many have used this rear bolt in the past with the same verdict...its a gimmick.

I would suggest putting your money towards more paint to rip with when you put your Morlock in. :)

take the trigger return spring out and it will be the most illegal gun on the field. Wait.. Is that the ebolt or the r/t system. If it is the ebolt I have had one and it is the board. You can take out the return spring on the front of the trigger then it will bounce like crazy. A new board will help immensely. I wanna say it is capped around 11-13 bps. yep pretty freakin slow. In fact I would venture to say one of the slowest electros around.

But I do have a question. Can I just put a reg instead of an expansion chamber and not buy the low pressure kit. B/c I CAN'T use HPA or it will chop every single ball. CO2 is fine it just drinks it though.

-EDIT: Or you can just take all that crap off and stick a toothpick in it. Then you'll need that halo for sure. I can vouch a blazing fast 25-35 bps no doubt.

-EDIT #2: Just looked at the kit. No ebolt so I have no idea. but I'd still go w/ the morlock or toothpick

actually i think the e-bolt is capped at like 17 bps but after 13 it chops paint like crazy, that's what NN's new ram is for.

Why can't you use HPA i do and I chop very few balls like one or two when i really rip it but that's it, you can just put a reg on it but you need a vertical adapter and you don't get most of the benifit the lp kit gives you cause the lp kit also includes a new rear bolt and powertube and other stuff.

Tooth picks will not work with this pneumatic sear tripper however it will work with stock mech, however DO NOT do the tooth pick in the sear unles you like paint margerita and chopped sear.

All the tooth pic does is prevent the sear from being realesed to catch the rear bolt.

easy fix, sell your m98 save your money...buy a new gun...something worth while, but hey add up all that money you've put into your gun and i garontee you'll be well over the price of a new ion. think about it...

well i have an intimidator too, this is my project gun, i like to impress people with this and make them stare in awe at a tippy that shoots like 15 bps

Yeahthat 98c is at the cost of a DM4 if you count loader and tank

i'm gonna get a digi-camo paintjob from Special Ops Paintball when I'm finished, it still needs a couple parts though before that

I only have the timmy though cause I got it for a really good price, 400 with WAS board and an adjustable ram cap and a bunch of other stuff

Did you say ebolt, capped at 17? That can't be right. This gun is slower than christmas, my ult'd classic will run circles around it.

So I should be able to run HPA w/ the tippy? The carbine doesn't really like it either. I just figured it was the extra 200-300 psi going into it. And I dont understand my problem either. I can rechrono fine but the min I try to shoot a string it's like goop.
