    Sniper Rifle project

I have been dreaming up a project for a Sniper rifle and I would like to use a Mag as the base. My primary question is can a Mag be adjusted or modified to be whisper quite like a DM4? If so what can you do?

Well that depends, it will be fairly quiet if your doing a pump version. Semi has some force 'ping' when the bolt/spring slaps the retaining ring.

All paintmarkers shoot the same distance. The only way you can increase your distance/accuraccy are these ways:

            1. Increase velocity (but this is illegal)
            2. Get a better QUALITY (not length) barrel.
            3. Get better QUALITY Paint.
            4. Match your paint to your barrel bore

Try low pressure high flow. Also, port the crap out of the barrel. It may be very air effecient, but hey, one shot one kill wouldnt be important if it were air effecient!

He still wants to be a s niper, and thats fine, I'm just putting out some facts. Shooting from a concealed location is just claled playing paintball but they dont know where you are.

Actually I was thing about something a little more like this but with a classic mag as the base (since that is what I currently own).

Alpha - Skoad is right. I am aware of the need for a good barrel, paint 2 barrel match ect... I am looking more to make my classic mag as quite as humanly possible. If you read some of the articles on Special Ops regrading snipers you will have a better idea what I am thinking of doing.

It's a 20 shot spring feed feed tube. I haven't decided if I prefer feed tube or small hopper.

As others have said, do your best to find the quietest barrel out there.

For your ammo needs, I would check out the q-loader...haven't used it myself but it gets pretty good reviews on pbreview.com and seems well suited to your application: makes little to no noise at all, 100 rounds per pod (no pesky 20 round long tube), no batteries, and to complete the look, takes your hopper off the top of your gun so your profile is ultra slim. Oh, and if you decide to go crazy, 31+ bps.
