    Have you guys seen the nail guns that run on battery? You could just use that.
    Or if you're intent on HPA, battery nailers are probably much more efficient than regular ones. I'm pretty sure they work like an electric airsoft gun, using the battery to compress air for the gun.

        another thing you have to relize is that nailers run @ 95psi Hpa tanks output is 850 psi. You have to reg it down.

        Sorry Dont know the exact # of shots. We went through 3 scubas in a weekend

          ive got all the stuff to connect it (reg,fittings,etc) i'll have to look into a better reg maybe a palmers stabilizer.

          and i think they wouldnt mind the scuba tanks for refilling they just need something without all the hoses and etc. running up onto the roof

            Boyle's Law.

            P1V1=P2V2

            Plugging in the numbers for a 72/3000 tank would get you:

            (72)(3000)=(135)V
            216000=135V
            V=1600ci or 6.9gallons

            So it would be simillar to trying to run the nail gun off of an unpowered 6.9 gallon air compressor. Not too convenient if you are trying to roof. A 20oz CO2 bottle in an insulated lunch bag may work better. That would be like having a 12gal tank. Still you are looking at $$$.

                Ive used a scuba tank with our n-series nailguns. Paintball tank wouldnt be any different. we run 90 psi. You need a good lp high flowing regulator though, remote would be your best option. Family scuba business helps with the family fence business you see

                  I've done this many times with C02. I use a stabalizer to bring down the psi to around 200, then use a standard air tool regulator to bring the psi down to what ever the tool needs.

                  From my experience it didn't use that much air, in fact it even worked off a practiclly empty tank.

                    I see how this idea could be useful if you're going somewhere away from civilization and trying to build something, but really, it isn't that hard to get air to the top of a roof. For the record, you don't pick the giant compressor up and lift it to the roof, you leave it on the ground and use hoses.
                    I mean, I've got a large compresser, and it refills itself(from 90 to about 120 psi), every 50 shots or so. It's got two large tank, totaling about... 6 gallons if I had to guess, from the size.
                    you know you play this game too much when the neighbors stop fixing their broken windows...
