    Intelliframe Pneumags

If there were a way to make clean and functional pneuframes with the LPR, 3 way, and piston all inside the frame, using an Intelliframe would there be any interest in these?

The reason I ask is that well over half of the people ask:
people - "Can you put the LPR in frame?"
me - "Depends on the frame and LPR"
    people - "Intelliframe?"
me - "Psshh, rotflolcopter. Get a vert frame or put it out front"
    people - "le sigh "

I've started a conversion using an all internal setup with an I-frame, and at this point the outcome keeps looking better and better. However the milling process is tearing up my spindle bearings on my drill press and the dremmel just doesn't cut the mustard for this job

So I'm basically wondering if there sufficient demand for this that warrents my purchasing a mill.

People are nuts to want the LPR in the frame. Takes up too much room, too much of a pinta to do, and the plumbing usually ends up less than stellar.

And of course, as we all have learned, cutting meat off of anything AGD is not an easy task.

What if something small like the Tickler was used? Its considerably smaller than most LPR's.

Im sure Pneumagger can get anything he wants to to work, i just dont understand the point of stuffing the LPR inside the frame. It looks so cool up front on the asa, kinda make you fit in with everyone else

I agree wholly with you, I like it out front... and is a pinta. The tickler, as-is, is still too large to accomodate the now superior MSV-2. I've modified the mount nut, knob, an fittings though to make it work for this application. But the frame, in the end, seems like it's going to look farly respectable. The exterior plumbing makes me dissapointed, but that's only solved by using a spacious vert frame or custom frame.

However, If I invest in say a medium sized desktop mill for a couple hundred $, I could do this conversion fairly easily. Let's face it... Vert frames (although spacious) are much more expensive and not to everyone's liking. Plus, the ability to "bolt-on" a pneuframe and preform minor LPR tuning is very appealing... especially for resale value.
A minimill makes this conversion not too painstaking... and actually quicker than a front LPR mount.

Ideally, I'd want to outfit the minimill with CNC servos and just make a frame to house compnent. Then everyone can do their own conversions. But this solution is more costly and not as "fun" as uhhh... "testing" everybodys mag. I'll bet my proshop owner thinks I'm a majority shareholder of AGD by now

I guess I'll post pics sometime over the weekend.

I love the stealth of having the lpr in the frame. Nobody expects it to be what it is. Personally it doesnt mean anything to me though, at least not enough to pay for the mill work.

EDIT: But still there is no reason not to pick up a benchtop mill if you have the cash. Life would get so much easier for so many things.
Why doesnt anything work for me.

playing on 360 or old xbox? Im on there now and again on 360 and the once in a month GHTP. Mine is benzy2 (i think). I have been debating the benchtop mill for a while. There are a lot of things I want to do with one but between getting all the tooling and such and the mill itself I dont think I have the time to use it enough now. Go for it though if you can. If I had the money on hand to do it I would in a heart beat. That and a decent lathe and all my ideas could come to life or at least to a hunk of metal that is now a paper weight.
Why doesnt anything work for me.

man what is it with people and the lpr? only mag people have a problem with an lpr showing on the gun.

I'm with bigevil on this one, it never really comes out that whoopee and takes up all the damn room.

pneumagger, more power to ya my friend. I'm sure you could figure out a way, I just don't get why people don't like tossing it under the barrel like every other damn paintball gun.

you can put it right next to the main valve input, you can put it out front under the barrel, you can even usea palmer inline reg sprung down and do it "incognito" like it was just a front grip. but noooo...I want it in the grip for some damn reason....why? so you have to open the grip every time you have to adjust the lpr pressure?

you could make it an all-in-one module. make a piloted 3-way valve/ram/regulator all in one block that you toss in the grip, hook up the input and fine tune the trigger.

problem is, I don't think the market is big enough for something like that, for the amount of time, effort and money it will take.

Um, as it happens i've been wondering about this myself since i made my own conversion and put the lpr on the outside, so you may have to humour me for a minute. Ok so here goes. If you watch both the Deadlywind videos at no point do you see an lpr on the front or anywhere on the Mag. Now i know the videos are brief and don't show too much, but, it looks like they've managed to squash the smallest lpr in the world into the frame. Not only that (and i'm going off track here a little bit but), the trigger pull is also super short and doesn't bleed air when pulled either. so, my point is this. They didn't make they're own parts but used off the shelf parts the same as we do for a prototype, then they hit on an couple of parts from a manufacturer that were small enough to fit into an I-frame, after having milled out the entire frame the same as the magsmith does. I don't think for a minute they made/designed they're own parts for a minute as the cost would be almost prohibitive. If DW can do it, so can you. It's finding the right size parts from the right manufacturer. Incidently just how small is the smart parts Max flow micro?
                            http://www.smartparts.com/Store/default.aspx?Prod={80363149-232B-496B-AD16-222D0B19CBE7}

Thy also don't use a fabco msv-2. Now i know your all probably sighing and rolling your eyes right now, and this really should be a separate thread but i think it may be valid. Apologies if you think i'm a bit mad. For the record though, i quite like the lpr on the front, it makes it look unusual and funky.

It's just an aesthetic preferance. I think those LPR's and Air chambers sticking out the front of Any gun makes it ugly. It's one of the main reasons I hate the way most E-Guns look.

To answer your question Pneumagger I think you need to qualify it with a cost range. I'm sure lots of people would be interested. But lots will drop out when they here the cost.. Just like most Projects
