I've been a busy boy! This took me an afternoon!

Since i finished my Intelliframed Pneumag yesterday, i thought it high time i finished my Chimera frame. In total it's taken me approximately 9 hours from start to finish! Mainly because it was just the frame i was doing and not the rail as well. I made a couple of build improvements to my frame over the intelliframe version i made.

    1. I drilled a small hole from the intellifeed mount and into the MSV-2 body to accomodate an anti slip grub screw, so as to stop any movement over time when rapid firing.
    2. I drilled 2 holes to the rear of the MPA-3 hold it in place again when rapid firing. Reason being, before i realised Pneumagger used wings to secure the MPA-3 in place, i ground them down ala the Phishphen version so there was no meat at the front of the MPA-3 to drill holes in to secure it.
Anyway, i bolted it all together and luckily it worked straight away ( ) All i have to do now is adjust the trigger stops and it's done!
    Here's the picccy's

Pure sweetness for a mechanical marker. Now if you can just get that rail and body anno'd red it would look perfect!

Nice! I like the minimum amount of modifications to the frame. Did you drill a hole for the trigger rod? Or is it passing thru the stock passage?

I bet you could take the QEV off without hurting performance. They should be mounted directly to the ram for best flow. It looks like the volume needed to get the job done is close to double with all that in there. Twice as much hose and that QEV probly holds as much air as the ram. Try without and see how it shoots!

Glad you like it! I was thinking of a black and red dust fade like the DM6-7's to finish it off.. The trigger rod goes thru the stock hole. I Will be trying it without the QEV very soon, it's something i keep forgetting to try when i'm putting them together! I'm gonna mess about with it some more tonight, so i'll try it without the QEV. I'll be putting it through it's paces on Sunday, i can't wait!

Niiice Do you find the long hose reducing cycle speed at all?

Here is my most recent frame I finished yeasterday for behemoth.

Pneumagger...I found that the hose didn't really reduce the cycle speed, however i found that the trigger pull was much heavier, so thinking it was the hose that was making the pull heavier i reduced it. It didn't make any difference to the pull. I even changed the QEV but that hasn't made any diiference so i think i need to change the MSV-2 for another, or it needs to bed in. It seems strange that the Intelliframe version is a ripping monster with all the same manufacturers parts yet the performance is difference in the Chimera frame, it's not slow by any stretch of the imagination, it just has a heavier pull. Can't work it out. Probably build tolerances.

thefool... I'll probably get it anno'd here in the UK as it'll work out a bit cheaper and logistcally easier. Thank very much for the offer though.

                    I'm playing tomorrow so hopefully i'll be able to upload a video of both versions for all to check out . Hopefully it won't break either!! ;

the spring tension on the msv can be adjusted a little via the spring holder/screw plug in the back of the valve. but more than likely it's something to do with the rest of you set up. it could be several different things.

really if you have to put any hose between the mpa-3 and the QEV you are going to lose some qev exhausting capabilities.

I've been working on some modifications to the msv to improve exhaust flow and eliminate the leaking.

then, I found a valve that has much better flow in and out, and a much, much shorter actuation stroke. about .010" BUT, it has no overtravel so it may be difficult to use.

                      we'll see.

Longi, if your lpr is set too high, it will cause the trigger pull to feel heavier. Do you have a small pressure guage? What is it reading? If not keep lowering the LRP until it stops firing, then up it 1/4 turn.

I don't think the LPR is set incorrectly, i did a prototype intelliframe before the Chimera frame (Both are used on the same Dallara body as follows)

                            http://www.putfile.com/pic.php?img=4084930
This frame is a monster! It almost feels like it's ramping!!! It really takes off when you walk it fast! The Chimera frame is bolted directly to this setup as my no1 setup (to be), but the Chimera frame pull is heavier. Theoretically, they should work identically to the other, as they have the same parts. They also now have identical length hose. I changed the QEV but that made no difference, i don't think changing the MPA-3 will change anything either. So it can only be the MSV-2 build tolerances that differ. I adjusted the set screw at the back, but again that made no difference to the pull. It's still quite quick, but not light or consistant. I'll probably swap the MSV-2'S over on Monday and see what happens then.

ok simple fix keep switching parts from setup #1 to setup #2. the part that gets it is the problem, start with the msv.
