That is... GENIUS! Joe, you gonna try and copy it? I know your love for pneumags and technical things.

It'd be neat to see a pic of the guts.

      Genius you mean?

But I agree. A picture of the guts would be cool.

          Very well...

Here is a cutaway view done in paint. This is the best of my artistic abilities and all you get, LOL.

It looks almost identical to the hAir from Nicad's patent, but with a piston and seal instead of a ball and seal, and the valve not inline with the air source. Nice work (not sarcastic). I've been thinking about making one almost identical for a non mag project. Looks a lot easier to make then using the ball and inline method.

Very interesting! I would love to see the mysteries inside the hAir. Piston seal? Ball inline? Even with my background in fluid power, I'm not quite getting it. I've been thinking about somehow integrating the LPR in the part. I wonder if/how he's done that.

Do tell on your source please!

By ball and seal (as you can now probably see), it was designed as essentially having a check valve positioned backwards and opened with an applied force, using a ball and spring design with the ball seating against an o-ring. Also used the incoming pressure to forcefully reset the trigger pin and subsequently the trigger. Your variant definitely looks easier to build, I wouldn't want to deal with the multiple diameters of the trigger pin in Nicad's version, or having to drill the inside of the hose barb to seat a spring.

I'm curious what the trigger stroke is like. Short? Crisp? Snappy? How light? Is it easy to short stroke? Etc.

Anyone want to build me one? I've gots moneys!

It's a real shame this can't be made as a mass produced drop in mod, as it could really change the Mags future, in fact it would probably relaunch it. Ahh the joy of patents!

I don't see how the rod opens up the passage to the ram...it the thing in the back(with the spring) pushing a seal foward, and when you hit the pin, you let air flow intou the chamber? this doesn't seem to work out right, unless you have like, a hollow pin or something..

Unless, wain a minute, theres a check valve right under the hose barb, and the pin you have just opens this valve?

It's an MSV-1... the trigger stroke will be darn short. Without the lever of the MSV-2, the MSV-1 will be much shorter and crisper while fairly light.
I did a mag with the MSV-1 rod as high as the original trigger channel once. With a ULT on/off - it was very walkable and crisp.

Sweet. I like the light crisp "click" feeling of an e-trigger, and from how it sounds, it sounds similar.

So, I'll say it again, anyone want to build me one? (Joe...?)
