AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I recently changed my Q setup by adding a warp mounting plate. Faces forward and sits right where the warp feed would go. So now I dont have to switch hands to shoot left. I can just roll the marker over like you would with a warp but its so much more compact. I will put up a pic when I get home.
Edit: Here ya go.
Though it was more "milsim" and I loved how well the Q tucked under the TW2 stock, the new arrangement makes for much faster loading while staying on target. I couldnt effectively shoot left with the air coming in so far back. So to remedy this I bought a ND Dropkick rail and reversed it to provide some clearance for the remote line. So Ive ditched the sim concept for a more effective setup.
I was ripping this thing on max full auto, with just the controll bore for a barrel, and it was surprisingly accurate! Loud as hell though
I have had real good luck with my empire reloader. its basically a sound activated revy speed wise but it acually puts a ball in the stack every time you fire (no pressure on the balls though). simple, proactive instead of reactive, gets awsome battery comsumption, and i have never had it fail to work in about 4 years. its good for a realistic 10-12 a second (i capped my pm at 10 with the eyes off and didnt break all day). Dont know how much they are now but cant be more than $20 or so. Any of the hoppers mentioned are great, but I like this one because every ball the gun uses it replaces, no waiting for sensors and then stir and let gravity work (that just makes me feel safer) I like it better than my egg, but i dont outshoot it, and thats the big question. How fast are you going to shoot?
Actually that is a normal reactive system, the motor reacts to sound of the gun firing. You are indeed "waiting for sensors," exactly the same as a Revvy with eyes, just a different sensor.
Mostpeople: Not quite sure what to make of your reaction?? Surprise? Anger? .....Fear?!
I just couldnt justify losing function so that my marker can have a "look". Thats just dumb
By function do you mean the ease of changing the Q-pod?
If I get a Q-loader..I was actually going to go with a setup like your first version...for the profile aspect of it. But I can see where changing pods fast wouldn't be easy in the first setup..wow..now that I look at it closer...did you bump into the T2W stock when backing a pod out? Looks like you would bump right into it.

Loading is much faster with the shorty/front loading setup. And like I said, I can keep my marker up while reloading now as well. With the TW2 setup I really had to drop the marker down which I didnt like. It was very comfortable with the stock but not nearly as effective for me. And yes the pods did bump a little so I put a small bumber of soft-ear foam there to keep them from getting dinged up, works great.
I tried the "under barrel" setup but found that loading was not as easy as where I have it now. I had to reach too far forward to remove the pods. Everything is very functional while playing tight corners. Not having to change hands to shoot left makes it so much more effective defending against two attackers as well.

The whole thing measures 10"x10"x6"
How do you feel about having a slightly larger front profile...now that the Q-pod is off to the side? Does it balance well for you with the weight shifted off to the side?

Having it offset has actually made it easier to carry most of the weight with my left hand so I can focus on the trigger with my right. Believe it or not, its more stable than when I had the stock because I can brace with both of my elbows in tight. Very little posture change shooting either side of obstacles = less time off the trigger.
And its certainly more manueverable than a hopper/warp combo.
You know now that I think about it, I have never taken a hopper hit on the Q. I would say thats noteworthy!

I am used to shooting in a "normal fire arms style"..if you know what I mean....stock as a brace, siting down the center of the gun.Do you think it would be difficult to lean to handle the way you have it setup. You seem to have many positive traits since you moved it ...seems very practical and well thought out.
