Paintball Sams in Wisc. this weekend

I never claimed 100. It was 85 for BG last year as long as you preordered. If you didn't then you should've If they upped it above 100 for preordered I can't say I wouldn't be upset, but it wouldn't be enough to drive me away. I'd probably play with my 98 or something instead then.

Some of you may not remember this but..... Sam's used to charge $175-$200 for a case of paint in the early to mid 90's.. it's always been a rip for their prices.

Do you know a cheaper place that's outdoors and has good fields? If you do then I can take your point of it being a rip, but paintball is an expensive sport.

Exactly! I don't play there because of price, but because they have variety in fields and I like the people there. If my choice were based only on price, I'd shoot a pump gun only. My only "complaints" about Sam's are:
1. they need to rebuild the fort in Nik - I'd even volunteer time to help
2. the time between games needs to be shorter
3. drainage on some of the fields would be welcome
4. real guns to ward off those dang mosquitos!

We are going to fix Nick this spring. We are in talks with Nikki now about it. She wouldn't let me burn it down. As for Draining the fields and the mosquitos, we can not control nature so can't help that. The time issue, it just depends on the refs. But I'll let her know about these issues and see what she can do.

Well since we're on requests for sams, how about getting hank on the field playing a bit more than reffing

He is a full time employee so you might want to ask him or Nicky about that one. Trust me I'd love for him to get out and play, he's got a new gun and need to use it but the fields need refs so sometimes it's hard.

I just sold Hank my Tribal so he has no excuse not to play!

About Sam's, its the best outdoor field in the area. The staff is great, the orgnization is one of the best that I've ever seen, and the choice and number of fields are unmatched.

If it means paying an extra 20.00 for a great days worth of playing at Sam's or saving 20.00 and having an 'ok' day at another field, I'd rather pay the extra 20.00 and enjoy myself.

Badlandz in Crete, IL is BYOP. But...that's a good haul from Gurnee. Maybe 1.5 hrs I'd guess.

well, since i think i was asked.. the OLD challenge park was much better. the fields rocked,the paint was 115 a case (for 2500) and it was worth the 2+hour drive. A group of us went there regularly for over 5 years!!!! so basically the choices in WI were so poor during the 90's that we found pleasure in waking up at 5:30 in the morning and going to challenge park!! oh, and the competition in IL during the 90's could not be beat

Sam's has got more competitive paint wise the last few years, but the scars are still there....

I know but what's the cost to get in? But most of the people who are bashing the price live near Milwakee. That's a quit a hall for them to Badlands.

From milwaukee it takes me like 30-40 minutes to get to sams, that's not a hall.....

The field draining was (sort of) a joke, but since the mosquitoes are there anyway, why not let THEM ref?!? I missed out on Hank's party last season, so I'd like to see him out there as well. I want to see if his game is as good as he says!
