So I've been using a pair of BDU's for my normal attire for when I play. They are really starting to get torn up and just plain ragged. I'm looking for a nice pair of paints that are geared towards paintball. However I really don't have much to spend on some. What do you guys suggest I do? Any place that I can find good but inexpensive pants at or should I just bight the bullet and spend more than I should?

If you can find cheap Dye C5 pants buy them, they last forever, mine just had a small rip after 2 and a half years.
Dye Hybrid '03 pants are also very durable and simple design, check em out.

www.firstcallpaintball.com has some of the old-school JT pants for $15-20... brand new...
I ordered a couple pairs, I'm modifying them into filming/armor pants...My Feedback

I had some JT pants at one point, but they wern't very comfortable. I still use black BDU pants, however i sew thick fabric on the knees to keep them from wearing down too much there. It's alot cheaper than buying real pants, but if you play alot then it's worth it to get pants geared toward speedbal. Sorry I can't reccomend any.

I have several name brand pairs, and I always go back to the fairly plain JT's.Originally posted by Blazestormwww.firstcallpaintball.com has some of the old-school JT pants for $15-20... brand new...

They are very light but yet extremely durable.
And they are some of the least expensive too.

for being very cheap, i got those raven pants from action for like 10 bucks. just plain plain black, no padding, but regular pockets. and after a year of use, they have no wear on them (i think that is because i dont slide and stuff
)!
oh, and what is BDU?

I picked up some 06 PE pants pretty cheap. Comfy around the waist, good padding where it counts, and have put up with sliding on turf and crawling through brush with no tearing.Originally posted by GroovYChickeN 2.oSo I've been using a pair of BDU's for my normal attire for when I play. I have a pair of Raven X-Havoc, nice pants, thick and durable...but they are a little tight on me (the pants say 34 waist...yea, I don't believe that).
I decided that comfort was important to me if I'm going out to have fun, so I picked up some 07 evil pants, I haven't played with them yet but I've tried to break them in around the house and they feel great. Not too bad for price for brand new paintball pants like around 70-ish.

You know what im going to say.,
Still, my Invert Pants were relatively cheap compared to some, and they have really taken quite the ebating so far, and have held up really nice. I know $80 sounds like a pretty penny to spend on some pants, but you can tell they are purpose built for the game. Very stretchy in all teh right places, and the padding on the knees is good enough that i dont need dedicated knee pads anymore. The pants breath nicely too.
When it comes to "paintball clothing" i cant see myself ever going back to "normal" pants for paintball play.
