    recommended tank size?

i see many of you guys with ULE'd mags and such, and now, i finally acquire one of my own after many purchases and such. BUT, my steel tank is holding me back from trying to make my mag light as possible.

so i ask, what is a good sized tank for a ULE'd mag? im looking at a 48/3000 from crossifre (dont need 4500 since i cant even go past 3000 here in california). what do you guys think? oh, and im using a drop too.

68/4500 is a good universal tank. The crossfire 68/3000 tanks are great and cheaper. 60/300 would work for you

wow, 3 guys answered at the same time, what a record!

yea, i was thinking about the 68, but the 48 is a bit smaller, and it seemed like a better move. but i do like the 68/3000 because, well, its cheaper!

pneumagger, i hear its a law in california that we cant go past 3000, because in the 3 fields i have been to, i cant fill my tank pass 3000.

Strange, I play in NorCal and the field that I went to had 4.5k fills. Maybe it's easier/cheaper for fields to use a 3kpsi system?

since you play at a field where you get free all day fills id say go with a 48 since they are lighter, but idk if they make them in carbon fiber. otherwiase a 68 would be your best choice.

4500 vs 3k is very minimal price difference and if any where does get the ability to fill it later on you will be pissed. pay the 20 difference and get the 4500 psi

now size wise, didnt really see any shot number that makes it easier

i play with a 45/45 guerilla air tank get 600-700 easily (usually more) when i can get a full fill but i used it with out a drop so it fits perfectly to me. i used to use a 68/45 on my cocker with a wgp drop and it fit very well but the gun now seems really tall to me of i go back to it but unless i swaped out the drop it wouldnt feel right with anything smaller and the balance is pretty good in it anyway.

laws change all the time so in 2 years you might be allowed to have 5000 tanks, you never know

I like my 68/4500 as well. It seems to be the overall middleman, it can go on gun, or remote, and fit comfortably with either.

hum... 68's? are ALL 68's the same? some of the crossfires on action seem longer than another, unless its just me.

what about a peanut? anyone have experience with those?

NFinite Edge Paintball Park is where my friends & I play now. I started playing at Action Paintball Games. I remember NFinite has 4k fills. APG doesn't unless they changed recently.

p.s. I use a crossfire valve on a 68/4.5k... works fine for me.

I personally use a Dye 71 inch Peanut tank. It is the same length as a 45, but is very fat. The Dye regs are crap, as far as I am concerned, but they do make a great tank.
WOW, sigs. Havent seen these in a while here on AO.
