recommended tank size?

Anymore I like a 45/45. After I broke my wrist it just sits nicer. I shoot a viking more often than not so air efficiency isnt an issue.

If you were to shoot a mag off a 45/45 I might caution you, as if you throw alot of paint expect to run out of air.

Personally I use a 114/45 with a PMI gas-thru stock, screwed into my ASA. the stock weighs less than a pound and is adjustable, so I get the size I want and light weight on my gun, and the ability to shoot almost a case on one fill (And plenty on a 3k fill I might add).

Getting the tanks weight off of my gun has really helped me play better (though somedays I do still do tank on gun, but not all that often). I also use the same setup on my shocker with a 48oz co2 tank for the really long games.

ah, i see. i play at norcal park and jungle, but they only have a 3000 psi restriction.

Mr Doo... correct me if I am wrong but the Jungle had 4500 fills two months ago?

I'm from Nor*Cal and wasn't aware that there is such a law... (Only up to 3K)

I know alot of fields don't go higher than 3K because the compressor available is only up to 3K... there's one in here where I live and they fill ti up to 4500...

But if there is such a law then, at least I'm aware of it now (as of now, it's just a myth)

if you want to pull as much as you can out of your ULT with out an adjustable tank the gurellia gives you a little more RT than the crosfires do. not sure if it is because the recharge is slightly higher or the psi is slightly higher or a combo but i can feel a noticeable difference

my friend had a dye peanut tank, its just feels kinda weird to me personally because it is so wide (and he broke the reg pretty easily, mostly his fault but other regs i think would have been more noticeable that you had an issue)

crossfire's are heavy compared to most other tanks. seriously, take a look at the CP tanks.. they're really good.

ya over all the regs are around the heaviest (IIRC) and the tanks they chose are heavier (IIRC). i had a pmi tank that was extremely light (the reg was junk, couldn't keep up 230 psi in a pump gun to just keep the vavle closed when the tank psi dropped below 1000 ) and i think the weight was mostly due to the carlton bottle that was on it (not the standard PMI logoed tank). i had expected to get a carlton tank on my gurellia but i got a different tank that is heavier than the carlton but its not to bad

thats the thing with the CP tanks - not only are they light, they have great flow.

manufactures always use different brands of tanks just depending on what is cheap so u might buy 3 of the same tanks and each one weight differently, not bashing just stating that fact.

the gurellia isnt much heavier but i noticed it when i got it but the flow on it is amazing i can shoot pretty far down into it with my mag, alot farther than i can with my crossy and i think its just the fact it throws enough air at the onoff to get the pin back out

CP manufactures they're own tanks, I believe. That's one of their selling points.

Personally I prefer to run as small of a tank as I can get away with. I carry very little paint so as long as I can shoot what I carry I dont mind refilling in between games.
