Great, another step fwd of bringing all the BS that pro players have to offer into woodsball.

Unless I missed something, these "pro scenario/tactical" players, can join right in with us common folk in big games. Something about that I dont like.

I post in ST:R on Pbn and am not a Christian and am therefore temp banned till Saturday. Could anyone tell me if this has anything to do with spec ops and their ridiculous little position names like "dagger' and crap? If it does.... lame.

I don't know where to begin. I guess a huge THANK YOU to KT and RAP4! WOW the Undertakers have done it again and we thank KT and RAP4 for there huge contract deal with the Undertakers and the TTPL for 2008 and on.

As most of you already know about the TTPL and its future plans, well the future just got better. That's right better. Today Hercules "The Hitman" captain founder from the Undertakers Tactical Paintball Team just finished and close a signed deal with KT owner CEO of RAP4. The team and RAP4 agreed on another partnership together to bring professional play into scenario/tactical paintball. What does this all mean you ask? Well the Undertakers just brought the level of play up another step to finally scenario teams and players on a salary to play paintball. Not only for pro speedball players, but now scenario paintball! Finally the pro level to scenario is here! That's right a salary. Benefits will include all payed team entry registration fee's, team field paint, practice paint, hotels, food, flight tickets, team limo and other team expenses. We can't explain how thrilled we are as a team and we thank KT and RAP4 for there full support and in believing in us as a team and players. Thank you.

Look for the Undertakers at your next scenario or your next tactical event. As part of the deal the Undertakers will be traveling to games around the country and outside the USA, in support to RAP4 and promoting the TTPL (Tactical-Ten-Paintball-League) www.tacten.com The team will be traveling as a separate unit from the Undertakers. An elite team, of the best tactical players around. That's correct a separate team. What does that all mean you ask? This is where it get even better for you and everyone that wanted the true feeling of a pro contract. I will be holding try-outs for this elite team of players. I share my offer to all my brothers in paintball. That's you all who know me. Your benefits will be to play for this TTPL team and travel to games all expenses paid for. Like how that sounds. Its true. All paid for. It doesn't matter if you belong to another team, this has nothing to do with it. The try-outs are for players from any team willing to try-out for the TTPL Traveling team. There will be a set 2008 game schedule well in advance so you can still arrange games with your regular teams. I'm looking for a team of 30 players, that will included substitutes, because not all members will be able to attend all games. If you have entered the November games of the TTPL that are hosted at USANA you will get the first chance or first round of try-outs there. I will have scouts looking for the best tactical players money can buy at this event.

Again I can't go into much more details as a contract is set in stone, but if your that player looking for that pro level of play, then maybe this is for you. Maybe its not. Either way I put my offer out to you all willing to try-out for the TTPL traveling team 2008. Once more a huge thank you to KT and RAP4, you guys rock! and are truly the best! Thank you.

Stay tunes for more news to come............

war, why are you being so negative about it?

i think this will help elevate paintball into the market again. the same sort of thing speedball did at the start. i also agree with bigevil, i'm not so sure i want to be playing with players of that caliber at events where i go just to have fun. that would be like playing speedball against teams like dynasty n such

I care not who I have to shoot to find the flag. Many of these "exceptional" players just happened to know the right people or be in the right place at the right time. Heck, I was a semi pro player last year, in that my registation and paint were payed for by a sponsor.....that certainly doesn't mean there aren't better players than me at any given game.

I understand what you mean, but what you said also supports my point. Once you throw pro level players into a recball environment it puts the rec players at a serious disadvantage. Players should be segregated by skill level. It is the only way to keep a level playing field.

QFT. A pro team can quickly ruin what would normally be a fun day of playing for recballers. Even with uneven teams the skill level can often be too much to overcome for most weekend warriors. Hide and seek turns into duck and cover

Because it's not real woodsball. It's commercialized like the idiotic "positions" that spec ops created to sound cool to all the noobs. Teams like the Hornets were real woodsballers. This is just crap.

I dont see anything negative about this yet. They have thier own league with specific rules. We are already playing with competitive woodball teams that have sponsors @ big games except they dont recieve a salary. I'll start to worry when they do though.

I don't mind taking on serious teams, but it is tough when you have a lot of 11 to 15 year old kids playing at different levels at the same time. You have to watch for the groups of five or more team players while you check under every bush and around every corner for the little guys that are two feet high when they duck.

The other thing is that the serious players are often covered with various accessories and vests, where the young players may be wearing a belt with a couple pods. On a quick draw, lighting one up with a few extra balls goes from a good idea to a bad idea.

I think what most forget is that most scenario teams are overall about helping out the younger crowd less likely to overshoot or shoot hot guns. I do know there are some teams with bad apples. Mainly during scenario play the problems usually come from the agg speedball kids (age is not a determining factor in being called a 'kid'). It might actually be a good thing, since when scenario teams play open scenario's most have the goal of making it fun for everyone and do not tolerate bad behaviour, Unlike the impression from so called professional Paintballers and their hordes of goblin followers.

I know, all of us speedballers spit on noobs when we go to the field instead of helping them, while woodsballers care about everyone

                              just my 2 cents, but

This is really jsut a marketing plan, face it , there is still probaly 90% of the players that are rec, and scinario type players. The big companies "Smartparts etc" recognize this and need to market towards this players. IE: hey we have a "pro team" , read we need them to winany way they can so that we can plaster them in marketing adds and make all the new players dream of being them, buying there gear, and thus making the company a ton of money.

It was and is going ot happen, and yes we all as players will end up excepting just about anything so we can keep playing.

Thats my 2 cents its an inevatable proccess, and it may or may not be good for us as players, personaly put them on the feild, let them play against the big scinario teams and see what happens, just becasue they have cool little call signs dosn't mean they actualy have or will ever have game.

                              Bartman

PS: I used smartparts as and example of a company , I am not say they are evil or am I
