Pump Players - Avoid White Wolf!!

I recently purchased a phantom with an awesome ano job. I wanted to convert it to Stock Class and add some extras. I contacted White Wolf and since I wanted to match the ano, he recommended buying them from him raw (no ano).

2.5 months later the parts showed up. The CO2 changer is missing the puncture assembly, the stock is missing the locking mechanism, and the body is missing the threaded inserts. Also, The Phrantom barrel is bored off-center.

I have emailed WW many times and have not received a reply. I then purchased some more items from him and entered the parts I was missing in the comments. I got the new parts I ordered, but not the missing parts!

I still have not received any acknowledgment from WW, looks like they are going to blow me off indefinitely!

I RECOMMEND NOT BUYING FROM JOE WHITE!!!

a general rule of thumb with custom work is dont expect to be emailed back in what you would consider a reasonable amount of time

*sigh* another "Let's bash White Wolf" thread. And one from someone who just joined and has (as of my writing this) 15 posts. woo hoo...

Joe has a real job and a family. He does this as a side business. He gets in over his head quite often. Send him a message explaining the situation and provide as much supporting documentation as you have. Assuming you are telling the truth about all of this, he should make good on the situation.

Now, don't get me wrong. I'm not saying you are dishonest, however not knowing the specifics of the situation I'm not going to side with anyone. I have had numerous dealing with Joe over the years and while there are times when he's very responsive to emails, there were others when I didn't hear a peep from him for weeks.

I agree that it is very easy to 'bash' someone and it is always important to try to see the big picture. However, paintball seems to be a breeding ground for nonsense behavior from retailers. If you cannot devote time to a business, then don't take peoples money. If what this guy is saying is true, then White Wolf did a half-*** job. If true, that is totally unacceptable, from him or anyone.

              White Wolf Airsmithing's business model is simple;

Until he gets your money, he's more than happy to talk to you. He'll usually return e-mails within a few hours.

Once he gets your money, he will NEVER TALK TO YOU AGAIN, NO MATTER WHAT.

There's a reason for so many threads "bashing" W.W.A. It's not just one disgruntled 12 year old. I'm 37, I've been playing paintball for a long time, and when a company treats me well I'll keep spending money there, but the last time I ordered from W.W.A. I had a terrible experience. All I needed to know was if the parts I ordered were shipped. Yes or No. I begged and pleaded with him to no avail. I HAD TO KNOW. He really left me high and dry. It was very disrespectful to blow me off like that.

I've spent a couple of hundred bucks with him, but never again. I don't care if he's selling water in the desert.

                Hit or miss really.

Sometimes he's fast, sometimes he's slow.

Some people *****, Some people praise.

I've never had a problem, and like Jaan, i've spent hundereds of dollars too.

I recently ordered a pump kit, got prompt emails and it supposedly shipped today. Last time I bought another one (couple years ago) it was similarly uneventful. In between I emailed him a few things and he got back to me fairly quickly.

Dont discredit him based on a post count on here. That is foolish. What does a post counts prove? If he had a couple thousand then you'd believe him 110%?

Well if you are going to take money from some one for a service, you'd better do the work. It doesn't matter if you have family and a "real" job. If those are to much then stop taking people's money and business. It doesn't matter if SquirrelCommander is new. It doesn't make him ess honest. His money and opinion is as good as any of ours. just my 2 cents.

                        Guys,

I am fairly new to paintball, only about three years now. But I am 38 years old and am not a rash person. I have had the parts for two months now, giving WWA plenty of time to respond.

I did not request custom work, he recommended it. The parts I need make everthing I bought from him useless pieces of aluminum. He could do me the decency to at least respond to my E-mails and tell me he's busy and will get back to me in X amount of time.

When I bought the second set of parts from him, they came very promptly, why couldn't he throw the parts I needed into the bag. I even told him that I don't care what color they are ano'd, just as long as I get the parts.

I spent the same amount on those parts as everyone else and he didn't have to have them ano'd, he could treat me a little better since he made a higher percentage off me!

It has taken me awhile to decide to do this, and only on the recommendation of a friend. I am for the small business it's what makes america great. Just do what you promised!

And on the post count issue, I only post when I have something to add, or something witty to say!

                        Carry On,
                        Squirrel

i dont know what to tell you bout the phrantom, first ive heard of one being "off center" i would need to inspect it to be sure of that claim myself.

if youd like i could call mike at CCI for you and have him send you the parts as he should have them readily available.

please send me a complete list of everything you are missing

ok, I know why you are haying this problem, because you bought the parts raw, they are not going to come with the parts that go with them...Mike at CCI happens to be a friend of mine, and nearly daily he sends huge boxes of parts and guns to white wolf, and the reason they don't come with the parts is because they are raw, and mike does not ask questions, he just sends the ordered components, though if you Email mike, he will most defiantly get you the required parts. or even call him, he is a very cool guy to talk to.
