AO: We are back from the dead... again! After an 18 day outage, we are finally alive and well. Who knew how complicated updating software/databases from 2008 would be. I still have alot of tweaks to make, but my main goal was getting everything patched and updated to 2026.
Vbulletin 6 has changed alot since 2008 so we will have a ton of new features to dig into.
I hate to say it, but this is what happens when manufacturers make stuff that doesn't work with the AGD spec. This problem was evident years ago with the first Intelliframes. The trigger guard front support is too far forward so the forgrip/expansion chamber would hit. AGD corrected this in the new style intelliframes. Now I know these are custom frames so I ain't bashing anyone, but maybe Logic has a foregrip/vert asa that would fit? Or maybe it was purposely designed to be used without a foregrip?
The Logic UMF's were designed for use with the longer RT Pro style rails.

Not exactly, it was purposely built to be used on RTP platform rails. People kept asking for more finger room, but you can't make a bigger trigger guard and still keep the foregrip on a classic rail. I asked people here (even did a poll) when I was designing the UMF which they would rather have, compatibility with classic rails, or a bigger trigger guard, and they chose the bigger trigger guard.
It's not like I designed the thing and accidentally made the trigger guard too big, it was a conscious decision to deviate from the standard AGD trigger guard shape. With the advent of the super light RTP rails that guys (me included) were making, and the near extinction of twistlock bodies, I thought maybe it was time to see if folks could live without 100% backwards compatibility.
I (and most everyone else at the time) knew going in that the UMF was going to sacrifice some of the Mag's inherent interchangeability in exchange for some new features they really wanted.
As the saying goes, "There ain't no free lunches."

Yeah, what he said.
MANN - The easy solution to your problem is to go with an RTP rail of some sort. The super ULE RTP rails that I used to do (and might do again) weighed only 2.4 ozs, which is the same as that Alpha you're wanting to use.
The Alpha is prettier, I'll not argue that, but there's only so much you can do.
Another, less easy solution, is to pick up a Phantom ASA like BE suggested and have Luke hang it off the trigger guard for you. I've done this a time or two myself (even on one of the UEF's), so I know it's possible, and it doesn't look bad at all. You just see two button head screws from the inside of the trigger guard. No big.

I really like the look of the alpha. I am now giving up on am/mm rails, and looking to do something custom. Thanks for the weight info.
I had an AM/MM rail once that someone had milled a slot into, where the foregrip screw goes.
It worked with a UMF. It did hang past the end of the rail about an 1/8th but it didnt look bad at all.
Shown in Marks pic. (his doesnt have the slot milled in it though)
hmmm. I dont think it will look bad, but It will defiently not look sexy.
One thing though, his pic is showing a DW foregrip made for an RT Pro rail, not one made for an AM/MM rail. So its not going to look as good as a foregrip made for the rail.
